We are from Maine, USA and were visiting friends in France and they saw a television show in London where they are from and saw these barrel hotel at this vineyard and so we made reservations to do a and plan a stay at the hotels, I first want to say Juliette was fantastic during our of the vineyard and the cellar, she was very knowledgeable and informative about the industry and was able to answer all of our questions, she prepared a of some of the vineyards finest wines and then we were brought to our hotels for the evening, from the first site we were completely blown away by the barrel hotels and if that was not enough we opened the door of the barrel and it was absolutely incredible, this barrel hotel was amazing as you can see in the photos I have posted and if the amenities were not enough and all of the things inside of the barrel, we were delivered and an absolutely amazing dinner of veal cacciatore with fresh baguettes a salad along with a tuna tartar all as fresh as you can get it. We awoke in the morning to only be delivered an absolutely incredible breakfast of a variety of small French pastries, along with two amazing delicious baked baguettes in a nice platter of meat and cheeses along with fresh yogurt to start our day you can’t ask for much more than what they gave you. This operation is a first class top-notch operation and if you are in the area, you should give this a try. Compliments to Juliette and the amazing team at Chateau Bonhoste Vineyard. Also we loved the children will be 6th generation who delivered our food and that we saw working in the cellar and being dog lovers we loved Juliet’s dog truffle, and the dog that was at the cellar which we didn’t get her name, but she was absolutely incredible. This dog knows the better than most. Salute and Cheers 🍷 Did the vineyard and tasting. Really enjoyed it, learned a lot, bought 12 bottles of various wines. Stayed overnight in the campervan for €8. Toilets and showers available, very clean, it's in the France passion scheme. Beautiful family-company. Not commercial , but down to earth. Juliette is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Worth the visit! We had a experience at Chateau de Bonhoste. We brought our little dog and that was no problem. Sylvaine was our guide and she did a job. Her English was very good and she explained a lot. We tasted many wines and we liked them a lot. Its impressive how they run this business as a family, and I can recommend everyone to go here. It’s definitely not a “tourist trap” and they make you feel very welcome and take their time to host you :) Just back from our experience. 9 in our party booked a tour, and lunch/picnic for €28 each. Really excellent value. A lunch of meats, cheeses, bread etc with 2 bottles of excellent was a start. Followed on with our of the farm, processing facilities and finally their cellar. All really interesting and excellently presented. We ended with our session of 8 different wines. All in all a way to spend nearly 4 hours of our afternoon. Juliette was out host for the duration and she was top class. She spoke perfect English (our group was all Irish!!), was extremely knowledgeable and took all our questions (of which there were many) with patience. Couldn't recommend this highly enough. Just log on to their site and book it. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic family run winery! One of the best tours and tastings we've had anywhere in the world! by one of the owners (on a golf cart) was greatly informative and got us close to the vineyards. The was very personable and not your usual 3 small tastings. HIGHLY recommended, so much so we cancelled our afternoon tour. Thank you, Silvine 🇬🇧🇵🇭🇧🇷🇵🇦 We stayed for one night with our camper van and had a stay. Electricity, toilet, shower are provided, a cheap and very tasty breakfast with nice homemade cuisine and of course the is also great! Super nice also to take a walk around the vineyards, forest and the village close by. A fantastic stay at the family run Chateau de Bonhoste. We enjoyed an informative of the vineyards, followed by and a beautiful culinary experience. The team there are welcoming and and we will certainly be visiting again. Thankyou for a day!
