Happened upon this place and had such a lovely meal. Prix fixe for 25 Euro and some delicious house wine. Very kid friendly with a big yard. We sat outside and helped that weather was incredible. An intimate restaurant that serves local fresh produce including wines. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful in picking the best dishes. The food was tasty and we were very happy to see they had focused on supporting local producers! Traditional restaurant in the country side, very nice setting in a big garden, quietly and peaceful. All 3 of us had different menus, everything was good and well prepared, also very nice service. We will be back! We are at the restaurant here and had the menu du jour and kids menu. The staff were very helpful in suggesting food the kids would enjoy. All the meals were very generous and the price was great at 18 euros for three courses and coffee. The pork was incredibly tender and the entree was more generous than in most "menu du jour" that I have had. The staff also agreed to let us use the pool, so our kids played happily in the water the whole time while we ate and talked. It was a fabulous experience and I heartily recommend. We arrived here at 8.45pm after a long, hot and tiring drive from Paris. We were recommended to come by the owner of our BnB, which usually is praise enough. We were seated on the terrace, social distancing and hygiene properly adhered to and very well managed. The staff were so lovely, kind, friendly, welcoming and really attentive. They spoke both English and French with us, which was reassuring for my children and they were extremely polite and patient with my rusty French! We chose the Mini Melchior steak option for our three children, I had the warm goats cheese salad and my husband had fish. The food came quickly and was absolutely sublime. My children's steak was cooked to perfection - they said it was the nicest they had ever had. My goats cheese was so good and my husband finished his fish in about 5 minutes flat! The wine was great too. The overall experience was so good that the children have asked to go back again tonight. If Le Melchior appears on your list of possible places to dine I would call it a must do. 5 stars all round.
