We had such a fun time making our satchels! It was fun to see the color combinations that each person chose. Choosing was soooo hard! Christina and Ami were knowledgeable and fun. This was a great activity and souvenir in one! Highly, highly recommend!!! I visited the St Andrews shop with two friends while on a GoAhead tour of Scotland. We had the BEST building our bags. The two young ladies manning the shop were exceedingly and patient throughout the entire process. We had many choices available for leather & Harris tweed colors. My friends and I highly recommend building a bag in the St Andrews Islander shop! It was easy to book ahead online. If you’re considering this I encourage you to book a time and DO IT!! such a fun experience!! Not only was it a unique but offered a one of a souvenir to remember this trip- price for workshop was well worth the quality of the bag and the overall. Our workshop host Christina was the best! So and helpful with the decision making and building process Today I had a most wonderful at the St Andrews Islander store with the lovely Christina & Amy. The girls are very kind, friendly & professional. We laughed & chatted away while I created my beautiful bag. This was one special day …. a birthday present from my husband & we have travelled from Australia 🇦🇺 to do it! The purse making class made our trip extremely special! We booked the class wanting to make a bag but we did that and so much more. We got to take a small day trip to St.Andrews from Edinburgh. I would highly recommend if you have the time. The staff member, Cristina, was amazing! She made the class and so perfect. Took so many pictures of us making our bags and gave us tips on what to do in St.Andrews. The shop had so many options the hardest part is picking the perfect bag. I visited the St Andrews store10-9-2024 and took part in the workshop, making my custom bag. Such a fun project. Ami, who talked me through the process and Christina both such lovely girls. We had a really good chat and it was just a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who loves handbags and would like to make a personal design. I even brought home a couple of different covers so my bag is even more versatile. There was a nice experience. The person was helpful and kind. I’m very happy either way my bag made my self No Notes, 15 out of 10! I don’t know that I’ve ever met a kinder workshop facilitator than Christina. She was the absolute sweetest and made the hour fly by as easily as if we were just spending time with old friends. She was so incredibly helpful, patient, and did I mention kind? The products are gorgeously made, high quality/durable, and make for a great keepsake for Fife visitors and long-time residents!
