The food in the purple badger is really value. I had lunch and it was a portion, the chips were delicious and everything was freshly made. Kids loved their breakfast... food is really good. Had nearly all on the menu between us all now, food is delicious and the menu just gets better Extremely friendly and smiling staff. Decent food and food. At The time of our travel we were the only one there and were pampered by the staff. Will advise all travelers to take a pit stop at this place. soft play! Kiddies loved it. And outdoor playground! Had dinner at the purple badger on Saturday night. Underneath the table was filthy with last occupants food with peas all over the floor. No attempt to clean up from staff. Family enjoyed the lasagna and hunters chicken but steak pie was average with lots of gravy and not much meat. Very slow service 45 mins for anything to arrive. Distinctly average. We would not eat here again. Lovely place, a little expensive but food was stunning! Wife was served by an ignorant lady who seemed to have forgotten that when you order ice creams, there should actually be some ice in the cone (almost felt racist by the attitude of the worker). They also used the smallest spoon we've ever seen. I realise that most places these days charge a fair bit for the ice cream. Having 3 kids its never cheap lol. However, this is the first time where we felt cheated. The member disappeared sharpish. Over £15 for 3 cones and the amount of ice in each barely amounted to what's usually in 1 from any decent vendor. Next time, I'd rather drive an hour to subzero and get a decent ice cream. With that rant over the place itself..... It looked clean and decent enough. That's the only thing going for the place..... Shame as this was the highlight for the kids. Being after check in, nothing else open and the park area in darkness. Just had another superb supper. Lamb chops with mint sauce are delicious. Highly recommend What an amazing place. The were friendly and supportive of our challenging little guest 😂 nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was beautifully cooked the presentation was excellent. We had a meal inside and also ordered a takeaway from them and the presentation was exactly the same great, care was taken to ensure the food was top quality will definitely be visiting again . Went for a family meal 12 of us on a Saturday night, service was and the food was absolutely brilliant, all meat was cooked as requested, kids enjoyed they're meals, especially the ice cream, would recommend to anyone, not a cheap night out but we'll worth the price, don't mind paying for a meal, only thing I could suggest is that maybe they could put an allergy list in the menu as one of our party was allergic to milk, eggs and it was hard to choose what she could have, but still would go again, management and very friendly, night had by all, thankyou. Myself and my friend had the pulled pork loaded chips. The "pork" was a strange pureed consistency which had a very unusual and unpleasant taste. It was inedible and made us both feel very sick. We raised the concern with the restaurant staff, who originally challenged us as they felt that was nothing wrong with the food. However after bar commented it looked and smelt awful, we were only then offered the refund. The food quality does not seem at a standard over the last few months and this is felt by many people who have now stopped purchasing meals at the restaurant.
