Iconic view of Rhossili and Worms Head from the lovely sunny back terrace of the Worms Head Hotel. A remarkable view as good as anywhere in the world, in my opinion. Although hard to find a super lovely relaxed place to spend an evening with your partner and catch up after a busy few weeks travelling away from each other. Great and a really good bathroom and kitchen area didn’t have chance to use the Jacuzzi but was warm and dry and a really safe place to spend time. Gower is an absolutely place for trail running. I meet every week with the Gower Trail Blazers, and we explore trails that show off the best of the area. The runs are challenging but fun, and the group makes it social and welcoming every time. Wow what a place and the are beautiful we went here to pick sun flowers the car park is big so don't worry about parking there is a coffee shop there aswell as ice cream it's a great place for walks P.S I NEVER TOOK THE PICTURE OF THE POO LOL 🤣🤣 To Horton, where there was a large car park, not busy, but with a great coffee wagon - converted from a horse box. Great coffee and delicious cakes to go with it. A little up the coastal path was the lifeboat station - open when we passed, nestling in the dunes, with a backdrop of coastline trees. The tractor unit, used to transport the inshore inflatable down to the water, was a paradigm of great engineering and professional care and maintenance. Following the path onwards to Port Tynan, revealed the sweep of the bay, as well as the old salt House in the distance. You will pass the village fish and chip shop, ice cream parlour and a tea room as you by the lifeguard station. Great for swimming and boarding. Great arc of foot path and green spaces for the dog. The whole perambulation was a treat - even the rain held off for the afternoon... This is A great area to visit. I particularly enjoyed the dramatic beaches with golden sands, craggy rock cliffs and crashing waves. The village at Horton is very pretty and the wild and wonderful as is Mumbles, the from bracelet bay are spectacular. An place for a few days holiday. Lots to do. Fabulous beaches and food. Don't tell anyone. Beautiful - and the is so big that you can easily find space amongst the sand dunes. The whole area is wonderful. Imagine it must be very busy in the summer though Absolutely outstanding scenery and such a good atmosphere despite so many visitors. A special place. We walked her from the nearby Heritage centre. It was a fairly easy up the hill, even for an old geezer. There are still sufficient ruins of the castle remaining to envisage it's original size, and the out over the bay were stunning. A beautiful bit of coastline. A breathtaking part of Wales, the peninsula is home to beautiful villages and towns, twisty roads policed by sheep and cows, quiet sandy beaches, and large hills providing a picturesque landscape. Some areas might be a challenge and would recommend wearing good shoes as the sand makes the paths slippery. You can to see the Pennard Castle ruins. There are plenty of benches to rest and have a picnic/snack. Absolutely time climbing 3 cliffs and the weather was and the climbs were very nice , extremely grippy with loads of gear placement available , wo th the 3.5hr travel from Devon for the weekend , we will defo return Such a place. A spectacular to Caswell Bay Outstanding natural beauty, with many hiking routes, beaches and lots of beautiful for photography Piękne miejsce Spectacular and views. I really enjoyed the natural beauty despite the unfavourable weather. Worthy of visiting. Gower as a whole is absolutely gorgeous full of fantastic scenery and interesting wildlife including seals and dolphins. It's easily accessible via public transport from Swansea with buses going to various routes from the bus station.
