Staff were friendly and helpful, finding a football match to put on TV especially that would otherwise not have been on in the pub. The food and drink were ok, no complaints but not going to win any awards either. Nothing in the offer for craft beer fans. The Guinness was good though. Only had one as we were near end of evening, old style bar, friendly staff that let us put our roof tent up in the car park, Tried here for the first time today and omg! The staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough and talk about value for money. The portions are huge and excellent prices!! Can’t wait to come back. Stumbled on this place as we were driving to our final stop for the day, decided to stop and eat. Wasn’t busy at all, just the two of us and a few locals that were so nice and chatted with us. The chicken tenders were so good, I was not expecting that for a bar because I’m used to America. And tried a shot of Dead Man’s Fingers, so yummy and I wish I could get that back in the US! Parked in the carpark of Hunters bar and grill and came into where u eat via the beer garden. Made our way to the bar and asked could we order a bite to eat, was handed 2 menus so we sat ourselves, 2 mins later we were asked to move to up by the bar ( the whole place was empty except a table of 4 at the back) no idea why we were asked to move bit bizarre. Tables are sticky and floor was covered in bits of food. We ordered the buster burger and a chicken goujons burger with garlic potatoes and tobacco onions. Burgers sayon menu brioche buns, none of them and my burger was meant to have bacon on it, there was none of that either, food was OK, garlic potatoes was lovely only they forgot to add the garlic just got butter! The lady who made the meals was lovely came out for a wee chat with us. Reasonably priced but whole place needs a re vamp A lovely bar /restaurant. There is a beautifully decorated outside area with a great vibe. Standard pricing for drinks and food. The atmosphere inside was great. The toilets where clean and the staff were friendly. Fabulous place. Lovely ambience and good menu. Spoilt for choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great and plenty of it. Can't wait to go again! Out for a drive and called in for lunch. The staff where lovely, especially the girl that owned the place.
