Lovely cycle ride from Wylam to Prudhoe Riverside Park with the kids. Toilets open, great free car park and play area really has been improved recently. All kept very tidy, bins emptied regularly. A nice break half way into my 12 mile walk. Had an enormous cheese scone and coffee. Spot on.😊👍 A pleasant down the river side. Length of can be as long as you like. Short with the dog or a along the river to tynemouth and beyond. Popular with dog walkers with many off the leash, but never seen an issue. Interesting along the sperchells - did not try cafe/information centre - Adam and I Eve pub next door very good , though no cask ales !!! been there a few times nice little cafe for food and drinks good sized free car park, play area for the kids nice walks along the river bank even better on a nice fine warm day A pleasant along the riverside followed by a play in the park. The fish were jumping, sloes and blackberries were gaining their colour. Lovely place to park. Lots of parking spaces in various places. Playpark for kids, trees and shrubs all around and a fab riverside walk. A nice place to walk, and beautiful by the river. Great for dog walkers, cycling and families. Gorgeous little up to Wylam and back with the dog. One of my favourite walks with the kids and my dog is from wylam to Prudhoe, the cafe at the Riverside park is a perfect halfway stop to refuel. Cakes are always beautiful - the fruit scone with jam and cream is absolute favourite I've ever had from anywhere. Lovely and the cafe is lovely too.
