Super golf course, nice clubhouse and welcoming members 👍🏻 Lovely course meandering along the bank of the Tyne. Very fair test for any golfer and a challenge for better players - pars at 2, 8 and 12 will be rare. Stunning clubhouse too. Well worth a visit. Played our last golf society day this year. Bacon sandwich was a start. Course in decent considering the rain but the were a bit of a letdown. The course is tight with a lot of cross-overs on Teeing off and some Tees are right behind which can be off putting on approach shots. Lots of pedestrian pathways close to fairways. You need to have a tight game to play well here. Not for me so can't really recommend Crackin track. Great test of golf. Could leave your driver at home and plot your way around or take the big dog and try your luck. Risk/Reward course with some amazing views. Great course Played here the last two Saturdays on winter then normal greens. Course is in considering the weather we had a few weeks ago, it’s a little damp in places still but nothing to complain about. Two rounds and the members we spoke to were helpful and friendly. Played Ryton on a monday off work. Course was great, the railway line running alongside is a great feature. Course was a little under kept in my opinion and the clubhouse was closed. I described the course to friends as a course to get your confidence up! What a fantastic little course this is, played it today 15/08/25, some very hot prolonged weather recently, the fairways were a little brown, but in great considering the heat, but the were in fantastic condition, lush green, cut down, absolutely fantastic!!!! We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the bar staff were very friendly 😀 I can't recommend this course enough, and I haven't mentioned some of the views of the Tyne!!!! Thank you to the staff and ground staff for a great day 👍👍 A course with a bit danger about if you have a slice 😂 ( train track one side, river another). The course was in & is mainly flat, apart from a little walk up to the 9th. Been a while since last here & the course didn't disappoint as it was in & the were the best we have encountered this year ! Staff in clubhouse very chatty & friendly will definitely return!! Excellent course and wonderful greens. Very helpful in the shop A tricky first few holes with out of bounds all down the right. Birdies are get-able from there on out playing into very receptive greens. Well worth the 20 min ish drive from Newcastle. Will be coming again soon. Always loved the layout of this course. Can there be better value golf out there?,I don't think so . Greens were excellent,an absolute pleasure to play here . Be back soon I hope . A true hidden gem of a golf club, fantastic course - some of the best around. Great course with some testing holes. always well maintained and super .
