Went for the women’s only session for my first time at this pool, the vibes were there! Really nice and relaxed atmosphere with everyone lane swimming! The entry is cheap for the standard of pool, everything is kept nice and tidy. There are public and private shower cubicles too. The parking wasn’t an issue when I went but there were no lessons on and relatively quiet. Appalling. Went to go with a friend to show him some machines and was told I couldn't get a day pass because I hadn't done an induction. I've been going to Newcastle gyms for over 4 years. What a waste of time, not listed on the website next to the day pass. Poor excuse for making exercise accessible! My daughter has her swimming lessons here, which are great. The staff are always friendly and the pools and changing rooms are reasonably clean. I've also used the gym here which is a good size and there's loads of classes to take. I'm glad they kept it open, it would be a real miss. Amazing experience using the pool. It felt like I was in an ancient Roman bath house, except that everything was sparkling like new. And the staff were really friendly. It's my favourite swimming pool I've been to and I intend to return. Who decided you would become uncontactable by phone? Having a local number that goes through to a centralised line and an automated menu which then tells you to go online and cuts you off serves no one but Head Office. Lazy, non existent customer service. Ever since the provider switched to Better Health UK, all perks and benefits for swimmers have been cancelled. Avoid at all costs. after the takeover , what a shambles of a place. why have you got like 20+ different memberships ? and why has everything been changed for the worse. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. If i could you would receive NO stars I’ve been coming here since I was around 18 ( over 3 years of coming here ) and never had any issues. However today I came back to the gym after a tough couple of weeks and I’m shocked at how unfriendly and rude the older woman on reception was. I had left my card at work which I never usually do but asked if I they were able to search me on the computer and simply open the door for me ( i know there able to), this woman refused to help me and told me to buy a new card when I already had one it was just accidentally left at work. So disheartening after I’ve came from work helping people all day for someone to not even be able to open a door for me ( a less than 5 second job for her to do ). Kindness costs nothing.
