Glorious Slovakian experience in a beautiful setting with jaw-dropping views! My only complaint would be the beer which was a bit stale. There’s also a nice playground outside for kids, and you can watch them through the windows while waiting for your order – really convenient for families. The atmosphere is calm until the food arrives, and everything we tried was delicious. Tip: ask the waiter about the daily specials, they’re usually the best choice. Definitely worth a visit! We ordered the local soup with bacon, beans, and sausage; it was delicious. For a starter, a farmer's plate that had smoked bacon, sausage, and a variety of sheep cheese. Also, homemade dumplings - halušky. And for dessert, a cherry cake that was delicious. Brilliant meal! Prices are a bit high but the food is honemade and tastes incredible. And it was the best spot that we could choose. Koliba is on the top of the hill, surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Little Fatra National Park. The main building is modern and in the Slovak style. The staff is amazing, and the food soo delicious. Love it! We first planned to stay there only for one night, but we were so satisfied that we booked another night for us and our family. There is also a shop with meat and milk products in the main building, so you can buy and take some treats home. We also attended a cheese-making course, probably a highlight for the whole family. We had such a great time in Koliba Syrex, so I can only recommend it to everyone nearby or only passing by.
