A lovely Museum in the heart of the Old Town of Solothurn with plenty of activities for young and old. There is lift access which is important because I was with a wheelchair companion and there are lots of activities for children to do as well. It's the ideal place to take young children on a rainy afternoon. Best of all? It's free to enter and they have regular updates exhibitions! Small but nice 👍 Interactive museum for kids and adults. It is located in the old town and the exposition is spreaded on several floors. Several theme has voice and videos explaining. Texts, explanation and speeches are mainly in German language. It would be nice to have french translations. However kids enjoyed a lot and can even touch some objects and explore by themselves. Wonderful museum for kids. Well maintained, lot of information and learning - various animals, birds, flies, frogs, stones etc. Can spend 2 to 3 hours. A nice place to visit for children and adults. Both can learn something in a playful way. One of the best museums i have been so far. Such a great place to spend rainy day in. Kids loved it. It's not too big and overwhelming but has enough interesting exhibits to entertain for a good few hours. We have learnt a lot about local flora and fauna. Guess what bird is it game was fun. Rock exhibition was fantastic and of course dinosaurs were a big hit. Definitely recommend and it's for free.
