Great wood for walking and mountain biking Great view of Aberdeen city. Good in a very place. Plenty parking spaces. Really place for a with a dog or Sunday with family, friends. Watch children as there is couple of cliffs and water ponds. There's also hill with really great wievs. Lovely woodland that’s ideal for dog walkers, families and those who enjoy exploring. The woodlands feature a large Obelisk which commemorates Prince Consort Alberts visit to Banchory Devenick House, and is inscribed with “In remembrance of the visit of H.R.H. Albert Prince Consort to this spot XV sept MDCCCLIX (15th September 1859)”. Tollohill also has a Neolithic aged Short Cist and remains of a small Ring-Cairn, just south of the Obelisk, which was first recorded in 1994, and would be around 2,000-4,000 years old. place, first time here, some places you have a view to Aberdeen and for the country side. Fantastic views from the monument of the surrounding area. While it has got some damage from historic storms in recent years it's definitely fares a little better than some other local woodland A favourite spot to go when I'm borrowing my sister's dug. This can also be easily accessible by foot too if you down leggart terrace and take the wee path next to the pro source it building. That path also has great views of the bridge of Dee. Also forget your worries and think afresh Great place to take the dog and to go biking. Some wee MTB trails hidden away.
