Enjoy the beautiful Victorian railway and ferry terminal - little changed over its 120+ years history. Great place for sea air and a good walk When did Wemyss Bay become a private ⛱️ 🤔 Beautiful 😍 I spent much of my holiday at this cleaning. 40+ buckets of litter. I also found parts of a boat, msny large pipes, pounds of cut & discarded fishing twine & ropes, 2 traffic cones, 4 buckets, 1000+ small drinking straws, shoes, bottle caps, and much more. Collected some lovely glass. Enjoyed meeting all the lovely dogs & most of the people :) When I came, the was completely covered with garbage, leaving I worry it's going to return to its previous state. On the one hot day we had this holiday, I watched a young family run all over the sand & into the water. Had I not cleaned up, they would not have had such beautiful memories. I look forward to returning. Not a golden sandy but beautiful + quiet. Fantastic views. No facilities but only 5 minutes from our caravan on Park Dean resort. Very close to Wemyss Bay train station + ferry. Not a sandy beach, good to explore and investigate Pleasant place ... took the dogs for a walk on the small beach. Not a great deal here to be honest. Loved this place! Very quiet, nice place to relax with not many passers by. Would be great if there were public toilets nearby we could have spent the whole day here just playing on the beach. Too bad the area is quite uncared for and is frequently littered, either by debris washed up, or by visitors who don't take their litter home by with them. Great place, very convenient for walking Fantastic view Off of a private road, where day use is allowed by owners. Some areas are restricted by rock baskets. No campers allowed. Road has been undermined by recent storms and is competely unsupported in areas so danger of collapse is possible. So caution is advised.
