We attended Vintage Explosion, who were excellent. We will come back again. 😀 We have been to a few concerts here over the last few years and it is a really good music venue. The seating stand was taken away for the most recent concert and it freed up alot of standing space. Staff friendly and helpful with toilets just around the corner from main hall. The hall is a 2-minute walk from the small passenger CalMac ferry but do check service status as they can be unreliable at times. Great concert by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Acoustics in the QH weren't bad. Wondered why they kept the house lights up all the way through though. Great events venue. Saw Brit Floyd- British Pink Floyd cover band- there recently. Has a great soft play area for kids, however tends to get booked after 1300 most of the time so make sure to call first. They did have bouncy castles up during summer which my daughter loved but unfortunately was taken down would be great if this was available during the day most days. Brilliant softplay, 10/10… but unfortunately on second floor with all lifts out of order so would have been a struggle if on own with multiple children who need carried! The facilities are great,l, the food is great, and the coffee is great. But, the staff even better! I work from the QH most days as a home based worker, and the staff are incredibly friendly and can't do enough to make sure you are welcome and enjoy your time in the facilities. We took the kids to the soft play, it's very good value and there is a cafe on site.
