Beautiful architecture in the station...good little cafe and loo stop before catching the ferry ⛴️ Proper old man’s pub full of old men, barring the lovely barmaid. Lots of interesting old photos on the wall. Old fireplace but not sure if it’s still working, but bet it’d be cosy if it were on. Lovely place to grab a very fresh pint of Tennents (or other beers including Punk IPA on tap) whilst waiting for your train. Reasonably priced and think it took card but I paid cash. Not sure about toilet facilities though, if you’re waiting for a train no problem unless they’re not working onboard (and a long journey to Glasgow/Paisley if you’re going that far!) but none in the pub itself and the men’s in the station were locked (women’s were unlocked) A cosy step back in time bar in the lovely Wemyss Bay Station, it's perfect for a pit stop whilst waiting for the ferry. Nipped in for a quick cider after a day out in Glasgow. Very busy, great atmosphere. Missed three ferries because of a film crew and some manic bank holiday traffic. But chilled in the bar had a wander and even managed to skin a few stones across the water like the small child I am. It's a lovely place. Great little (emphasis on the 'little') bar. Reasonably priced beer and friendly staff. Beware, though, the bar has no toilet and the station toilets are only open during station opening hours, rather than actual licencing hours. Great little pub situated within the lovely Wemyss Bay Train Station. What the pub lacks in size is made up by the warm welcome and service received. Love this place, log fire in the winter , great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Cozy wee bar. Fire place is lit in the colder months. Nice place for a drink while waiting for the ferry, or to watch a bit of sports with the locals. Free pies served at half-time! Dogs are welcome. Reasonably priced drinks and the staff are friendly. Men use the toilet at the station, until those toilets close, at which point the one toilet in the bar is shared with the ladies. Friendly pub. Worth a visit. Great alternative waiting room for the ferry. Always warm great fire. Great staff love it.
