This is a tale of bad news and news.As one of Google's top reviewers I have reviewed more restaurants than i care to remember and without doubt this is the noisiest ever. Dont know if it was down to room ambiance but the Tower of Babel, cacophony was unbearable .We around 8.10pm.50 mins later, with being promted twice food arrived. I had Brisket Beef Nachos with Crispy onions but was given Salt and Chilli Chicken Nachos. I reported this to staff.They wanted to take it away but i did not have the time to risk another long wait to get what i originally ordered. My haste was cos of wishing to photograph the sunset at nearby Lunderston bay, which i did miss cos of the unacceptable delays at Chartroom. My friend didn't escape either He a chicken mozerella dish which came without any mozzarela,,a senior member of assured us it was in there.We both sought, but never found. A Bowl of grated mozzarela was reluctantly brought but this was not melted over the dish, as it should have been All of this is such a pity, as food is indeed very . A fair gesture was made in removing wrong item from my bill. Dessert of Apple Crumble was excellent .As we left, others were leaving too and we overheard more complaints about how noisy the place was which ,admittedly, is a difficult problem to solve. The location at Inverkip Marina is really .Lets hope our less than satisfactory was just a bad night. We were told that they were unexpectedly very busy🥺 Surely a check of the weather forecast and the benefit of previous should have alerted planners to the fact that they would be in for a busy day🙄Sun 16th june Food was so we decided to give the place another try. Glad we did. Food is good. Sun 22/9/24. Another brought more problems here. Tonight Natchos, usually good, were burnt crispy, tasted burnt and never enough topping for amount of nachos, half of which were inedible.Also roast potatoes with friends roast beef order were hard only partially cooked, unacceptable for a £17 dish. Sorry but have to give this place a miss for a while. Nearly every ,theres a problem😡. After a years abscence cos of above previous experiences we returned tonight 8/11/25 for dinner. Happy to report everything was perfect. We hadn't booked in advance but were very helpful offering us a short stay table which was all we needed.This is a decor wise and tonight, the ambiance was quieter than previous visits. There is a new menu. Unfortunately no home made Nacho dishes anymore but Salt &Pepper Chicken on a bed of Noodles was excellent as was my friends Smoked Haddock. Confidence restored. When they get it right, this is a excellent dining experience. 🙂 Led by local entrepreneur Tony Buckley, The Chartroom is well worth a visit. Where else has a view like this, an exotic menu for a very reasonable price and a very friendly staff. The location is idyllic with seating outside for drinks if the sun shines. Popular for weddings and functions also. Tony has been in the business for years and his quality and shines through. Recommended 👍 overlooking the marina. varied menu, a few vegetarian options. The goats cheese salad was delicious. The design of the meant it was a little noisy but clean, comfortable, views and staff. Recommend a visit. Pleasant dining experience. Food tasty. We had a selection of small plates. Friendly staff. Took the mrs here for our 30th birthdays. were amazing and the food was incredible.. both really enjoyed ourselves. Very clean and beautiful views of the marina right outside the window. 100% will be going back This is an excellent place to if you’re around Kip. Not only does it have spectacular views of the marina and surrounding hills outside through the glass walls, but there is outside seating too if you feel like it. We got the combo starter for £15 and it turned out to not only be tasty but excellent value for money, it easily was a size starter even when shared amongst the three of us (all men over 6 foot), and could probably even be shared amongst four and still be perfectly adequately sized. The main meals we were all delicious too. I a king prawn salad, usually when I such a thing I expect too few prawns to satisfy me, but that was certainly not the case here. Plenty of big, juicy prawns in a salad. My companions also greatly enjoyed their meals. By the end we were all so full that desert was completely out of the question; but I suspect they too would have been good. Highly recommended! for children and adults alike. There was even a wedding happening there in one of the adjoining rooms; this place host quite a few weddings as it really is very there. I’ve been eating here since 1997 and it’s never disappointed me yet. Lovley lovley lovley place with a view of the marina, are great. Food was and a atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. First time here, food was delicious, very friendly, atmosphere lovely Will definitely be back, the girl who served us said it to see cleared plates 10/10 Very food and reasonably priced too. Restaurant is clean and has a nice decor. Had dinner at the Chart room last night, family of 6 with each ordering all different meals , the food was amazing, everyone all enjoyed their food, choice of white wine was really too. Very reasonable prices compared with some places. We will all go back again. Service was brilliant. Can't see us going anywhere else now. We had a lunch here with friends, 4 of us in total on 10th July, food was really & the service was spot on, very friendly & welcoming. We’d a window table with a view over the marina. From the outset, Kyla demonstrated the utmost professionalism, guiding us through every step of the planning process with expertise and attention to detail. On the day itself, every aspect was executed flawlessly – from the elegant presentation of the venue to the smooth running of the schedule. The personal touches Kyla incorporated made the celebration feel truly unique and reflective of us as a couple. We are deeply grateful to Kyla and the entire team a the chartroom for their outstanding service in making our wedding a truly unforgettable occasion Not only were the food and views fantastic, the service was outstanding. Turned up without a booking and they seated us quickly and easily, the were very attentive and even entertaining our toddler. After a delicious main meal for 3 of us, 2 desserts and a few drinks the £50 bill was a welcome surprise! Would definitely return again and can’t thank the team enough for a evening.
