We had booked a meal for my wife's Birthday as we haven't tried it before. Food was very good, portion size excellent and well priced but would'nt want to be paying much more on my opinion. Lovely setting, beautiful decor and furnishings. Very busy mid-week evening due to Graduations. Decent choice on menu, all relatively well priced. Food arrived - all very well presented and tasty. Both Rump Steaks ordered were phenomenal. So tender and cooked absolutely perfect. Service was friendly and attentive, however one member of staff was completely reluctant to advise what draft beers were available upon us being seated. It felt like we were putting them out by asking. I fully appreciate there are quite a few beers on offer but if it's too much trouble to list them to a customer I'd recommend getting a drinks menu for the tables - or just have a word with your staff! Even when we asked for a cocktail menu the response was a very stern "well what do you usually drink". It was quite a hostile start to our visit and almost annoyed us but luckily the rest of service and food was excellent. We have eaten here before and will definitely return. Food was absolutely delicious and staff were really pleasant and helpful. Loved the look of the place and the seating was comfy. There are a few tables up by the fire which would be lovely on a blustery day. Went here for a family dinner. Worked out £30 for a starter and main which is reasonably priced. Had the prawn starter which was excellent. The chicken and steak combo was ok. The steak was cooked medium rare but the chicken was over cooked and dry. The staff was very attentive and couldn't have had a better experience from them. Would recommend booking if.at the weekend. Amazing food and even better service!
