Started with an owl collection which grew with other small animals, mostly mammals and birds. Fun for kids! Everything is a bit outdated though and could use maintenance and some upgrades to provide more freedom to the animals. Not very wheelchair friendly as halfway the route is a bridge with stairs. The only way is back and follow the route counterclockwise. Free parking. Opportunity for a drink or icecream. Dirty toilets. A hidden gem tucked away with a surprisingly large number of animals. Its size allows you to get close to many of them, far closer than other zoos, making it great value. If you can make the journey, it's well worth it. The zoo is bigger than it looks. Really well maintained and we can get close to the animals, some being free to wander around. If you don’t go there expecting a regular zoo, it’s an enjoyable place. Some interesting rare birds and other you don't see in every zoo/animal park. The squirrels have hamsterwheels that they use for exercise, that was cute. Several have multiple interconnected enclosures, which was cool. Some of the owls had rather small cages though. Most if not all seemed to be in excellent condition. Spent 2 hours here; it's not a big zoo by any means but still bigger than expected. Entrance is cheap, so well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood! Even though I didn't get to see the caracal. I still had a great experience! Great variety of and capybara 9/10 Rip big floppa 2025 Fabulous place, so relaxed seem very happy, no advertising, no souvenirs just nature......seen I haven't seen before and so inexpensive.....would recommend it 100% Very nice place for kids .
