They do a great job of educating visitors on what went on there during WWII. I like that they decided to preserve what they could against the people's wish to forget the worst parts of the war. People need to know the history to, hopefully, never repeat it. Everyone I met there were extremely helpful in furthering my understanding of what my dad went through there. An interesting and educational day out, need about 1.5 to 2hrs to complete the museum tour. For public transport , take bus No.9 from city centre and get off at Borneoplein, then it's a 15-20m walk. They really did a great job with the stories and all the displays. It's a lot to take in for one day. The fobs they have are available in English which was very helpful. Highly recommend visiting. We toured the outside first as I was accompanied by locals who could explain the areas. It's disturbing to visit this place and find out about its history. We had a tour and the tour gide was a little to opinionated over this serious matter but the museum is very well done. The stories and artifacts presented in the underground museum are extremely moving. Rating a war memorial where horrible things happened five stars might seem strange. But the historical value for the region is significant and the memorial is wel taken care of and very informative.
