Great location, clean and staff were friendly. We biked from Amsterdam and went through the gorgeous heath and found this “place”. Perfect location and the sandwiches and hot chocolate was great and free water especially for cyclists like us!! Yay! What’s not to like? Welcoming staff, quite yound and warm. Concerning the food, it's well presented and quality is fair, good value. I can't judge the place (for I had take-away), but I spotted nice tables and a terrace. The place seems adapted to people with motion disabilities (parking, large doors). La Place becoming more and more expensive. I guess they have different concepts than the La Place I know prior pandemic. If we don't buy the specials menu or offer, we will spend as much as we go to the normal restaurant where they serve you at table. Self service but with table service price. The only big point from this la Place we went (Laren location) is the parking. Free for 90 mins with blue parking card. The food is just usual La Place types of sandwiches, soups, salads etc. Toilet is free Laren location closes to the nature park, Berenkuil. Nice for small walking. This place can be called "Heather Field Oasis". I was surprised by the large selection of all kinds of food - from several types of soups, salads for every taste or a juicy hamburger. Free water is a nice bonus. It is cozy and delicious here. Amazing fresh food, nice vibe, good quality for money. For the first timers, there are no waiters. You have to enter through "ingang", grab a tray and order your food, pay at the "kassa", find a table and enjoy! You also have to take your utensils to a designated area before leaving. Nice, clean restaurant with a good variety. Lots of soups, salads, smoothies, etc to choose from. I didn't try their pastas but they looked good. Their seasonal selection for autumn was quite tasty. I'd eat here again. Don’t understand these reviews! We go 2 times per week. Fresh, healthy food and drinks. Apple pie is 5* as well and the staff are always super friendly. Prices are reasonable Great place to have a quick warm lunch or coffee for very reasonable prices. Also very good deal on breakfast. Sitting is very casual and the food area is free flow (you chose and put on tray and pay at Central register. In winter months the green pea soup with/without worst and bacon on rye is definitely recommended.
