Luxury upon luxury and so much detail in the presentation. A full five star experience, a relaxing oasis that's probably the most romantic getaway this country has to offer. There's even a helipad in case arriving by car isn't enough. There's a variety of cabins available. We stayed in Bjælkesuiten with two (!) hot tubs, a double shower with clear glass surroundings, and a super cozy bedroom/living room area. Lots of candles in the room to set the atmosphere, wine fridges stocked and free bubbles on arrival. The four course dinner with a view to the water was also brilliant gourmet style presentation. The staff was great, they have a nice explanation of every course and they were very good! I wasn’t consuming alcohol, so they came up with an insanely good variety of juices. The food was delicious and the was amazing! Will come back!!! A truly unique and wonderful experience. Normally we don't want to visit the same place more than once but this place is a game changer for us. Their cabins are one of a kind and a pure feel of luxury. We have never tried anything like this before - and we have been many places in the world. The food at the restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star (or two) and so is the service. The cottages are luxurious, cozy and beautiful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Our highlight was the food: We arrived late in the evening and failed to give notice about our vegan diet. We were staying in the countryside not far from here and came across the restaurant while searching for a nice place to dine. There is a limited menu and can choose from a few starters and main courses or select the four course meal with a set menu. We could not have been happier with our decision to try Ribehøj. We tried two different starters, graciously presented and described by the proprietor, with amazing ingredients and flavors. Our main courses were equally impressive, with each dish having great care in presentation, a balance of ingredients and sauces. The wines here are very nice, and they seem to select wines from small quality vineyards to present to their customers. Definitely worth the drive and the price for the experience.
