Great value country inn with eight self contained apartments. Room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Could have done with a bedside cabinet on both sides of the bed (just one). A little meagre on supplies: toilet paper ran out on first morning and I had to borrow some from another guest as the Inn was locked. Hand soap was heavily diluted and shower gel nearly ran out. Food was unquestionably excellent: good quality, quantity and quick service. Nice atmosphere in the inn. Not bad at all 👍nice village location with peace and quiet. Nice motel style rooms. Good food. Only had a one night stay while passing through but would happily stay longer next time. Visited the Malt Shovel twice while staying locally. Great service and really good food - big helpings and sensible prices. The tall young man behind the bar was charming and very welcoming. Recommend it. Another trip to the 'Queen of Sunday Roasts' but this time a midweek visit. Did not disappoint...steak, herb cod and pork wellington...yum! Sensible portions, great service, tasty food and good beer. We will definitely be back! So my family and myself enjoyed our lunch here today, second visit in a few months. Both visit's we were greeted with friendly staff, great service, amazing food. Been here many times and never have had to complain about anything. Food is delicious and always served hot, no matter if there is 2 of us or 15 of us. Lovely beer garden, cant mention the rooms as never seen or stayed but look lovely over looking the beer garden. Can't thank Julie, Scott and staff enough.
