Came here today. Staff seemed friendly food was OK thought could have had another minute in fryer. The steak burger was nice but didn't come with any sauce? Didn't even see any sauces in the shop so maybe have to pay for small sachets? Clean & professional premises. Room to park outside in the evening. Would possibly be 5 stars, but didn't have the small and advertised on their board. We are two pensioners with smaller appetites than younger people. We opted for regular with small and mushy peas Total in August 2025 was £13.30 The for us was just enough for the two of us, lovely crisp batter and for one would be huge. Small likewise (very slightly on the thick side for me but Tina thought they were fine). Mushy in a large tub were and a much bigger helping than we get down south. Why, when you do so well, would you sell prepackaged battered sausage? These anaemic bits of gristle are horrible. You've got sausage and battered right there next to your hot deep fat fryer. Why on earth would you buy these in? Staff are great. What else is prepacked I wonder Lovely meal, beautiful and the curry sauce was amazing. Really really enjoyed it. The batter was crispy and not greasy at all. Would visit again. Also made my wife's night as the batter was dairy free meaning she could also have a fish. Not the cheapest chippy in the world but sign of the times we currently live in and also being a tourist location but certainly wouldn't stop me visiting again as it was well worth it. Called in on a Sunday pm but they had run out of fish, not but the were nice To start with, these guys are open till 7.30pm on Sunday. Ordered online five haddock and chips, wow the were enormous. Plus mushy and curry sauce. All amazing and prices. Top marks !! :) Well yet another Frydays Super to be proud of. The staff are very friendly and well dressed . The and are out of this World. The food however isn't great. Everything tastes of chip fat. From onion rings, battered haloumi, the chips, burgers, scampi. None of us enjoyed it. And it's expensive for a chippy, very. The absolute BEST and I've ever had. We bumped into this shop by accident but best decision whilst on holiday. Keep up the work !! Really? It’s 2024 get a grip! Called in for supper while staying in Kendal. We were greeted immediately upon entry, with friendly smiley staff, who were all dressed as crisp as their Haddock batter. The food service from entry, to ordering, to delivery was also incredibly prompt, and the shop was impeccable in cleanliness. My partner had a large portion of chips, I would consider him somewhat of a chip aficionado, he found them delicious. Myself, I indulged in the (Haddock) Cooked fresh, cooked well, was quite a large size, with larger available, with just the right amount of crisp, light batter, and I accompanied that with a good-sized portion of mushy peas, which were just the right kind of mushy, we were both pretty satisfied, and stuffed! The price range for the efficient service, the quality ingredients, and taste of the food, is acceptable I would say, and value actually (the rather large portion of Haddock was £8, with a large portion of £4.60, the mushy £1.70) Overall, we would certainly eat there again in the future, and yummy! Absolutely beautiful tasting fish, chips, and curry sauce. Highly recommended. Can't wait to visit next week to try something new on the menu. Lovely and clean and very friendly staff.
