Lovely Lots of wild Nice to just or take your dogs for a and a little spot of fishing loved it I'd recommend it beautiful Amazing. Very tough conditions today Lovely nature reserve, lots of walks, bike trails, large field, well worth a visit. Love going on the trails wirh the kids looking for wild life, with our recent trips finding frog spawn! Great place to with the kids. They can ride their bikes in peace and fall off them too. Plenty of birds to spot and they love a along the to see the ducks. Not to bad for walking the dog. A lot on insects though especially horse flies so b carefull. Defiantly worth a visit if you are local. Dogs love it there. I had a wonderful time visiting nature and views are great. The smells of nature all great experience. I recommend walking visiting nature I did 12300 steps walking. Great place to along the canal. Took my toddler and she loved it. A few muddy paths but not overly troublesome. Paths are marked well. We parked on a culdesac and entered through one of the gates. Not 5* as within the woodland it looked untidy with rubbish but you can right past and not have to go near it. There is parking for around 20 cars, from where you can into a mixed woodland. There is also a large open grassy area in the middle. My rating is a very personal one, in that, we visited early evening for about an hour and both got absolutely covered in bites. Nice and fresh this morning, could turn very muddy as it warms up. Canel walks could do with improving Great place to the dogs. Both sides of the have lots of paths to explore with some really pretty trails through the woods. Lots of wildlife to see. Ducks, geese, wild birds, fish and bats in the early evening. Can get busy at certain times of the day, so if you have a reactive dog, avoid early mornings or teatime. You can park the car in the little lay-by on Bentley Lane or there is a dedicated car park on the Rough wood side, which isn't a long to the bridge to get back over the Bentley Haye side. The itself is lovely to along. Can get muddy in winter so take wellies then. Plenty of barges pass though this section in the summer and it's great to see them. Some days you have to dodge the people riding up and down it on scrambler/motocross bikes. Other than that it's a great place for a quiet walk. Gorgeous place for a walk, just needs a few more dog waste bins on the rout. A nice local place to get away from it all, quiet and scenic and can be combined with the for an additional walk. My trip was made more fun watching a cyclist fall into the whilst we crossed the bridge. It's OK, he was ok, laughing it off, as he climbed out. Just a bit wet.
