We ended up staying two nights, food was fresh and home cooked, with great portions and cold drinks. thanks, we will definitely be back Lovely staff, good Covid measures in place. Has a specials board as well as the Menu. Which on this occasion had Beef rib lollipop with cheesy mash and onion rings which was absolutely huge !!! So plenty of beef left for a doggy bag, which they are happy to do and wrap up for your furry friend 🐕 . What a lovely little place We used it on the britstops app 10pm one night , campervan was no problem , it's a proper old school pub , we had a few beers before closing , lovely family and dog ! Only popped in for lunch. Staff so and helpful. We just had baguettes but they were very tasty and very good value. The Ledbury Bitter was an excellent pint. Worth a visit if you're passing Incredibly , dog-friendly, welcoming and obliging. Very happy place. A rare thing these days, a proper pub, how it used to be. Fantastic service, genuine home cooked food (no microwaves here) and great prices. Particularly recommend the Fish and Chips, Steak and Ale pie and the local Ledbury Best Bitter. Lovley traditional pub very got parking Had lovely tea tonight, this came with big salad too. Am on slimming world so did not want chips, onion, rings, etc. Asked if chef could flavour my steak with garlic and he served some roasted garlic on side. Was all spot on, many thanks 😋 Called in to Axe & Cleaver (Much Birch -A49) after being let down by another Country Pub after booking in advance for our 43rd anniversary dinner! At the Axe & Cleaver where we enjoyed great service and food, priced very reasonable for a three course meal and drinks. Will be making future visits and if you are looking for great food from a great menu then look no farther… Wonderful warm service. Extremely welcoming and friendly. Food was ok, building was ok but service like that gets five stars. Proper homemade food, cooked fresh with care and generous portions. Very good service with staff. A little gem.
