Called in for a quick beer and was turned away as there was a wedding party there, couldn't even get a beer to sit outside, they shut the whole pub, shit service I will never come here again...they forget who goes there regularly...never again... Going here twice in one week says it all Went there for lunch, it was a experience i went for dinner also the same week. food. Staff is brilliant, the land lady is all over the pub making sure everyone is happy. Even on Wednesday this place attracts punter's. The Himalayan food is good, I am not normally a fan of this kind of food other than home cooking but for me and my family its highly recommended as we don't eat in pubs much, but we are returning. Price is also reasonable experience. I do a lot of Google reviews because I think it's important for the businesses and for the customer. I've seen a few reviews for the White Harte since the new owners have been there. Lots of positive reviews for the Himalayan food. I have to agree with them. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. There was a lovely atmosphere in the pub. I would strongly recommend you to try them out. You won't be disappointed at all. Stopped for a quick meal. It's a really pub with a Nepalese menu. Food came very quickly and was amazing. Very tasty and size portions. Only regret is being too full to try the deserts. Will certainly try again if in the area. Second visit as as the first. Got a table without a problem as we got there early. A last minute decision to eat here but a table was found without delay. An extensive gave a really wide choice. The food, though, was only just about OK (the 'rare' steak was cremated). The meal was served in a manner and not overly expensive. Possibly worth a return visit but definitely not for steak! Really nice pub with a choice of drinks on offer, restaurant was bigger than I expected. One light bulb seemed to dip in brightness throughout, not the end of world by any means but was distracting. The garden heaters could definitely do with a longer timer 🥶. Everyone ordered from the Himalayan and had no complaints. Food was hot and delicious. Will definitely come back again. My pork curry dish was absolutely delicious. In fact our whole group said they had loved their meals. Service was and prompt too. Thank you to the whole team for a evening and a lovely meal. I rocked up here with my friend for a bite to eat and a catch up. We were greeted on arrival and shown to a table. Lots on the all reasonably priced, I opted for the grilled salad. It tasted fantastic and I recommend if your after a something filling but not leaving you bloated. Will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a experience 😊 Enjoyed a lovely lunch today, we tried the Himalayan lamb chops and vegetable curry accompanied with a meat platter for starter. Although the starter platter arrived after the mains it was all and enjoyed by us. Will definitely return. This pub is well worth a visit it has a varied with pub classics and Himalayan if you want something different choice of drinks Staff did not book Saturday afternoon did not have any issues in getting a table Food was of portions Amazing food, drinks and staff. Defo 5 stars. Went on Sunday, chilled vibe food was awesome. Really pint too. Can tell these folks care about their business. Been driving past for a few years and it seems we’ve missed a trick. Stopped for lunch and it was amazing. We had salt and pepper mushrooms, so tasty Chunky chips and jalepeno poppers, a club sandwich, and peri salted chips. It all arrived quick enough and was hot. The chunky chips were nice and fluffy, the sandwich was fresh and tasty. Can’t fault the food at all, will go back and try some of the other dishes soon. If I have one complaint, we waited a minute for our bill and I ended up having to go up to the bar to pay as I could t get anyone’s attention. A minor fault I think we just got missed by the growing crowd at the bar. Curry's are fine, six of us had main meal. I had chow mein. was very overcooked. Curry's were ok but service has gone down hill. Bill was £160 fine if you had the service. Never asked if we wanted another drink etc. Also lots of young children running about. Didn't bother us but could see some customers were getting annoyed. Not sure if children were the owners or the staff. Have eaten there a few times before. Think we will give it a miss for a while now though. Fresh food - literally tastes as if prepared to order. Very but it does mean the wait time is quite long. Couldn't recommend it enough! Will definitely be back on our next trip! We booked here because we had heard the reviews were very good. Unfortunately our experience was not so . We all had a curry and to be honest the luxury/finest range in Iceland is better. The plates were all cold and when mine came out i had to ask them to put it in the microwave. Nan breads were ok though. They do serve a pub as well which might be a lot better but if you are going here for a curry, you may be disappointed like we were. We had the deluxe roast with a generous helping of beef, and belly pork. And the meat was all cooked really well. But everything else on the plate was underwhelming. The pigs in blankets were not and all veg needed seasoning and the parsnips were underdone. Saying this I would love to try something else on the menu, the Himalayan food we seen looked very good👌🏼 The tikka was and a lovely pub. Service generally good. The Himalayan looked and I suspect it would have been too. However, we were there for Sunday lunch and that was disappointing, Roast potatoes soft and not at all crispy, meat overdone, shop bought yorkshires and poor tasting sausages. A real shame. A lovely pub, korma and tikka was delicious. Will come here rather than takeaway. Reasonable price too. Lovely food in a quiet, relaxed place. Staff were and food was delicious. Lots of variety on the menu.
