The staff are very friendly. The trip was brilliant as the staff ensured I was cared for. (hidden disability) they ensured I was safe when I had a seizure. And made sure I was with a member of staff while waiting to board. Cannot fault them at all. I have always found Hollyhead quite disappointing, with the amount of traffic that goes thru the every day you would think the place would be better kept, it's old in places, and 1970 planning in others. Not a place to hang around in.The pictures are of the Swift and the Ulysses Modern serviced by Stena and Irish Ferries with routes to Dublin several times a day. Easy walking distance paid parking nearby, train station with direct access to the terminal, next door. Facilities are good, with toilets, cafe/shop (reasonably priced), a couple of vending machines (expensive). Also houses the checkin desks for Stena and Irish Ferries, alongside a Hertz car rental desk and train ticket desk. Very good on and off ⛴️ very quick 👌 Gets me to where I want to be 👍🏻👍🏻 Situated in holyhead right next to the train station so the trains and terminals are linked. Always a very busy port. We took a over to Dublin as foot passengers few years ago. Not the prettiest of places. You know when a has come in by the amount of traffic leaving the A55. We're here today on a drizzly day just watching the boats. Good access to the town and buses This place is huge! Glad the train station and are connected.. makes life easier when getting connection trains and ferrys. Train stations is quite big and some of that platforms are not easy to find. The is fab tho. Plenty of people there to help and the check in is just through the doors. Has all facilities u need Does everything a needs to do really. Always found it weird that the ferries out to Dublin are much quicker than the return leg. Fairly spacious waiting room, short queue times to get checked in and friendly enough staff on site (they do still have a job to do of course though) . Lovely ship, needs for irish/uk plugs for charging devices. Plenty of EU plug sockets. So bring adapter. I ate in French restaurant, not great for the money. Burger and chips. The Swift ferries were cancelled for both legs of our journey 4 days apart due to "adverse weather conditions" even though both trips were on fairly calm sea in good weather. So we were crammed on to the Ulysses which was now rammed to capacity with notes on tables and intercom announcements telling passengers not to take up more than 1 seat. I would go as far to say that this is nothing more than a massive cost saving exercise by Irish Ferries, leaving the Swift in and reallocating all its passengers (that have paid extra for the fast crossing but get no refund) onto the bigger, slower, saves them a fortune. It coincidentally always has enough room to spare to fit us on and who cares that it leaves 3 hours earlier and drastically changes your travel times. The final straw was being asked at Check in to pay an amendment fee for an earlier change to the booking that we had already paid for. No word of a refund though funnily enough! Note that the WiFi didn't work and we were kept waiting in Dublin for over half an hour because there was another boat in our berth! This sails at the same times day in, day out. How could this happen? Unbelievable Very unhelpful nobody tells you what to do. Shunters dangerous speeding around also unhelpful. Basic communication seems to have been lost in this dump It’s a beautiful in Wales on Irish Sea coast. It’s just 75 miles away from Ireland. It’s easy to via sea to Ireland from here and it takes only 3 hours. There is a stunning beach with a breakwater there called Newry beach. Терминала е голям !
