This is a lovely way to spend an hour. The working is eye opening and thoroughly brilliant. Walking beyond the mill, following a simple path brings you down to the Bronze Age hut exhibit. These full size replicas are fascinating, you're allowed to walk around inside them. Once you've had your fill of history, you can pop onto Monuts and get your fill of their fantastic doughnuts. They're a bit more expensive than the dough nuts you may have had before, but they are two or three times bigger and just souch better. They even do a version of my favourite, the Boston Cream, which I heartily recommend to you, alongside the whole place. Lovely place to visit A historic at Melin Llynon built in 1775 and is now the last surviving in Wales. lots to do. here the windmill, iron age roundhouses and also Mr Holt's Mônuts.#melinllynon @melinllyon @Mr Holt’s Didn't know what to expect. Pulled up and the was breath taking. There is plenty to see, and they have a model area of animals for the little ones and a small play area with seating. The roundhouses and old bakery were interesting. The young man in the was very friendly and knowledgeable. Then omg the doughnuts are delicious. All the staff were happy and engaging. Definitely recommend. An interesting expi Dropped in late on yesterday as we were staying in the area and had seen Kalani's review recently so had to give them a whirl. Was reserved with our expectations given another negative review below. Our experience was completely the opposite of this. With it being a week day there wasn't any queue. The donuts themselves were the best we have ever had. The kids had Biscoff while I had Birthday Cake (complete with pink custard filling) and the missus a French Fancy donut. The shop downstairs was also selling it's own Gin in a rather nice looking Melin Llynon bottle. If we were ever in the area we would definitely come back. Thank you! I was told about the from a colleague and that they do some really good donuts. So, I have visited and could have easily stayed the whole day. Perfect and relaxing location. Would recommend visiting. Absolutely amazing donuts well worth the price! so filling! They have few vegan options though so would love to see more! Amazing walk aswell! Absolutely AMAZING!! It was our first time visiting and we will definitely be returning. £6 per adult and dog friendly. We went inside the windmil which was very interesting and Richard senior gave us our very own private tour which was brilliant and was very informative we learnt so much, Was definitely the highly of the trip. Brilliant for kids and big kids too! Animal Safari was lovely with lots of animals to see 🦁🐘🦓🐵🦏 Great gift shop with some lovely homemade local products for sale, We finished our visit with Monuts (which are delicious!!!!) and a coffee where a nice local photographer called Phil hen offered to take our photo. Overall it Was a fantastic day out with the family and we will most defiantly be returning again. Wonderful place to visit. Lady in the shop really friendly. LOVE a and this is the only working mill in Wales! It’s great that you can go inside. Try to be there in a day when the Miller is there to get more detailed info. They also have an ancient standing stone there too (which they need to look after!)
