Magnificent views. Difficult access, our luggage reduced to a minimum was carried up by donkeys. Good food, nice cool drinks. Beware of lack of plugs to charge phones, bring your own batteries. Inn keepers have been there for 30 years, serve delicious home-made food (mostly) but have chips and beer for the civilization starved also brought up weekly by donkeys. Great refuge in the middle of a beautiful lake valley. The food was excellent, beer was ready and cold (only in cans though) and the owners (guardians) were friendly. The toilets were out of use on the day we were there and they came and apologized repeatedly for this. Rooms to sleep in were like in any other refuge - basic and clean. Overall great experience! ⭐️ Helpful, attentive staff; amazing views, swimming hole with waterfall 60m, in sight and sound of outdoor lounge area. One of us had mild heatstroke vs. altitute sickness; we were both strong and rested for the trail down the next morning. Dinner was a simple but delicious, social meal with just the salt and seasoning we wanted after a long difficult hike. Breakfast was basic but tasty and perfect for setting out without delay. Bunks, showers, all areas were clean and in good repair, no bugs or worries. Good place for GR10 stop. Large camping ground and good food. Top Deplorable and greedy behaviour from the operators of this refuge. We arrived at 2:30pm but we would not be able to access our dormitory until 5:30pm. For the next 3 hours, paying customers were not allowed to use the toilets and were told to go outside. Once 5:30pm rolled around the toilet was unlocked and we then discover that toilet paper must be paid for and the seats on the toilets have been removed. The greediness is extended further. Showers are also paid for (but I can understand this position) but there is no lighting in any of the dorm rooms in what I can only assume is an effort to save money on electricity and that the owners don’t trust guests not to steal light globes. We are over 1 month into walking the GR10 and not once at any other accommodation have I seen this kind of greedy behaviour and being treated like a thief. The dinner was overpriced and the breakfast similarly woeful but that is nothing compared to the toilet situation. If you are hiking the GR10, just add a few hours to your day and go to the next town. Do not reward these scumbags. We got a room that was bedbug-infested: bedbug excrements in corners, blood streaks on mattresses, found 5 living bedbugs that had obviously fed last night. When we told the staff we were immediately assigned to a vacant room that looked way better: no alive bedbugs, no blood streaks, no bedbug excrements. The next morning we found that it had been to no avail after all. We had been bitten and I found three bedbugs that seemed to have fed on me. Overall cleanliness bad. I don't recommend going there. 2nd star is for the uncomplicated reaction of the staff. /!\ Punaise de lit présente dans les dortoirs et personne ne vous préviens!!! Le repas baisse en qualité d année en année, Les saisonniers du refuge qui font la fête jusqu'à minuit/1h, musique à fond... Le cadre reste magnifique.
