My visit to Althorp Coaching Inn was a delightful experience that combined charming surroundings, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious cuisine. The inn's beautiful building exudes character, creating a cosy backdrop that enhances the overall dining ambience. The atmosphere at Althorp Coaching Inn is truly noteworthy, making guests feel not just customers but welcomed visitors. The menu boasts an array of tempting options, and my choice of the Philly Steak was a culinary highlight. The pink bavette steak, sautéed peppers & onions, chilli, gratinated cheese, and paprika mayonnaise created a flavour symphony that left a lasting impression. While the food was undeniably delicious, there was a slight hiccup as both my meal and those of my associates arrived slightly colder than expected. Despite this, the overall experience was so enjoyable that we didn't feel compelled to raise the matter with the staff, especially considering time constraints. In the grand scheme, Althorp Coaching Inn successfully blends historic charm, service, and tasty cuisine. It's a place where the warmth of the surroundings and the flavours on the plate combine for a memorable dining experience, even if the temperatures were a bit cooler than ideal. Love this pub. Just reopened after being closed for a while. Very place with nice staff, only to happy to help. Great place to grab and drink and something to eat, especially if you are walking in the area. Dog as well. Stunning pub. Lovely village pub, with food of the gods. The meals are just too good to eat, portions size is very nice. are very and attentive. Loved the old style of decor and seating. Well done all. PS Dump the carpet, it's not part of the outstanding charm . Great traditional pub with an excellent menu at good prices. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful pub. Lovely staff. Stunning village. Lots of history. .. wasn’t too impressed with the sole. Full of bones. So it was hard to eat. Although. When the asked how our dinner was, we said it was fine. Nice court yard, grass seating, plenty of parking at the rear. Nice clean toilets. It’s a nice snug pub. Dog friendly!!! Definitely a rovers return. #Buddyfriendlypubs #Walkswithbuddy #Roobysvillagetour We chose to drop in for a beer during our walk through this village. The environment is warm and welcoming and well staffed to handle the thrones of people here. We sat in the large furnished garden enjoying the flowers and sunshine. We came here for a small bite to eat and wish we could have stayed longer. We shared a sharing platter consisting of cheeses, meats and bread. The food was incredible and I'd highly recommend it to anybody in the area. The are really aswell and we will definitely look to come back £19 for a burger. Enough said. Bit pricy but worth it for the quality The ACI was perfect for our family meal. Great setting in an old original pub. Fantastic selection on the menu, even for a vegetarian. Great atmosphere. Very and helpful staff. We had a great evening thankyou Great atmosphere. Old English pub oak beams and roaring fire 🔥. Polite . Excellent food . What a wonderful find, beautiful beer garden, are so from the moment we arrived, very attentive, fab menu and best yorkshire ever had! Highly recommend to all! Thank you. Being a local, two of us popped in on the off chance to eat on a Saturday afternoon. It's the first time we have eaten there. The pub itself is lovely and famed for its connections to Princess Diana and the Spencer family. It's very close to Althorp house. I had pan-roasted supreme of chicken, whipped potatoes, squash puree, which was quite nice, but the amount wasn't great. The other person I was with had fish and chips, the fish was fine but the chips were really bad. They were hard/overcooked or looked like they had been refried. We had soft drinks with it. I wouldn't recommend the food there based on my own experience for the price we paid. Sadly, we won't be eating there again to eat, but we will still visit during the summer months as it has two lovely outside areas with seating. I edited my post to add the correct meal, sorry for my mistake I cannot speak highly enough of Matt and the team at the Althorp Coaching Inn. We had our wedding reception at the pub a few weeks ago and they were superb. We planned our wedding in 8 weeks and they were so accommodating, especially considering the timeframe. We planned everything from Australia where we now live and Matt made it so easy for us. We didn't get many photos of the inside space but it looked very pretty with fairy lights, flowers and the traditional cobbled floors and old beams. All of our guests spoke highly of the food, we had a BBQ on the rainiest day of the summer but it was perfect! The food was lovely, especially after a few beers it was great wedding food. Our guests were all very taken with the pretty pub and surrounding village. Throughout the evening the team were awesome, so friendly, they cut the cakes up for us and communicated with us to keep us on top of the bar tab spend. Overall, we were so happy with the day and can't thank Matt and the team enough :) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
