Had a round of golf here recently whilst on holiday and loved it. Great setting next to the coast! A very tight golf course with some very close fairways. Good to play, with good greens and fairways. I had the pleasure of playing the course twice whilst holidaying near Whitby in September. Good points:- the shop staff and green keepers are super friendly, courteous and accommodating. Green fees very affordable. There is a practice net tucked away just around the corner from the shop. The tee boxes are level, (I note this because those at the club where i play aren't!) The fairways are in really good condition. The greens aren't immaculate but are in good condition. You get a little map to guide you around the ravine due to the footbridge being out of action. The route around the course is well marked. The views up and down the coastline are so beautiful, especially if you tee off early and catch sun-up. Things to be aware of:- there are no course yardage books available (it's been like this for a while i understand). Similarly, there is no yardage info on the internet either that you can browse through before you go. The course was changed a number of years ago and if you have an old-ish GPS, (like i have), it won't help you after you've played the first 6 or 7(?) holes, simply because the yardages are nonsense. I'd advise getting it updated before you play or risk going in rather blind with no yardage book nor workable GPS. The route around the ravine and back is a bit steep so be prepared and take your time. All in all, really nice course with nice staff where you can enjoy a relaxing round of golf. Lovely course on the coast just north of Whitby. Very welcoming. The course overall and greens in particular in great condition. 7th hole over a deep ravine was very challenging! Will definitely return. Monday 1st September 2025. Played as part of Scarborough Golf Festival. Course very good. In hottest year tees have suffer but fairways and greens have green grass. Staff excellent. Played Whitby 14th July 2025. Great challenging course for all standards, and the facilities are first class. Will definitely play again when in the area. Well stocked Pro Shop and welcoming Club House. Great course, great facilities, great food, great views. The only minus point for the time being is the wooden foot bridge over the gorge to the rest of the course has been condemned so you have to walk further to the next hole, hopefully that'll be put right sooner rather than later, but apart from that I had a great day there. Great friendly welcome in the pro shop, very accommodating, as a member of BIGGA they gave me free courtesy, the course was in very good condition considering the weather we have had this year. Ive never played the course before m, it's very quirky, a few different holes. I will definately play again Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
