I attended for the parkrun which was well organised Had a lovely walk to the sun was out but not too busy, would love to have a go at all the but no time. We did have for food at the café, the pizzas were excellent and the loaded fries was a big portion. Also have a drink selection from local breweries. staff, very and accommodating, we all felt very safe especially considering we took 4 children as well, the is also worth a visit with several pizza ovens and superb hot chocolate. The zip wire was really but took a long to get set up. A rare 'spare' Saturday meant I had an opportunity to join my family for a lovely walk around one of the lakes at North Yorkshire Park. With plenty of parking, excellent and a total joy if you love water-based sports, I thoroughly enjoyed 'great outdoors' at this Wykeham location. The interpretation boards dotted around the lake are really informative and I loved the dragonfly theme. We also stopped for a bit to eat in the cafe, which was busy. It had a really menu and was reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and the wait was minimal. If you love walking, this is a place to stretch the legs. Dog too. Stopped for coffee and cake, very disappointing coffee given in a cup with no saucer, only cakes available where prepacked and long life. It was quite expensive for what we had. is dog friendly. A brilliant day out for the family. Staff are helpful and friendly. were clean and website easy to use. We rented a wetsuit, highly recommended if you don't have your own. You won't be disappointed 😆 This is a wonderful place for families with kids and the people working there are very professional, and helpful. Waiver or consent forms must be completed online. There's no way to do this in person at the reception desk. There's no free internet available to complete the consent or waiver forms at the park. It is advisable to book tickets and complete waiver forms when you have reception or internet. The group in front of us in the queue did not have any internet reception on their phones at reception and were panicking about being late for their because they did not complete their consent forms and this is a requirement before taking part in any activity. Sign outside reception says, please complete waiver forms online to save time, but it is not possible to complete waiver forms in any other way than online. Now I have that out of the way, the rest is all news. I went for an open swim, kayaking, zip wire, climbing wall and we stayed in the motorhome part of the campsite for the weekend. All of these were extremely well maintained and clean. Safety and quality of was excellent. One small minor comment I had was that anybody could drive up to the and use the shower and toilet without having to pay any fees to use any of the which can potentially be a security or safety problem, although they do have very CCTV covering the property. During daytime hours anybody could drive in to the and nobody is there to check tickets and the restaurant and bar areas available to the public which is right next to the changing and family changing toilets and and the doors to these are left open which makes it very convenient, but I would definitely keep an eye on my kids as everyone should do anyway at all times in public areas. Bottom line core advice, book your before you arrive and complete all your consent forms before arriving at the reception. Then check into all your to collect your wristbands and then you should be to go to enjoy the rest of your day without any issues. What a fantastic day out with friends and family. Plenty of parking upon arrival after a lovely entry through the sweeping roads, paired with a well signposted roadway made for a nice arrival on a stunning day! We had a picnic when we arrived but there is food available on site. It didn’t look too pricey at all and looked from what other people had. Toilets and changing were all really clean and hygienic, even after anticipating a foist’y smell, which was a bonus! Wetsuits and safety gear was all provided to ensure a comfortable and safe experience. We elected to do the “warrior” course which certainly delighted. Despite causing near death and whiplash on many occasions (all my fault no claims here). 1000000% would recommend and 10000000% would go again! day out for all the family. Lots of including Archery, Axe 🪓 throwing, Climbing, Zip wire, Electric boat hire (These are not fast!), on the lake, Kayaking and Paddle Boarding. The has a very nice offering a range of foods. We went there for a party and it was everything we wanted, lasted just long enough not to long or short. Would recommend, also the staff are very encouraging and helpful especially when getting your life vest and going down slides Wow! What a superb day spent with our u14s rugby group. Booked as part our tour. It did not let down for value, service and entertainment. We were escorted from event to event so everything ran to schedule. I cannot fault the service, communication which all adds up to a experience and memories our team will have for years to come. This place is we attended last week 2 adults a 16 year old and a 9 year we went on the aqua and it was fantastic. The equipment is fresh and new and doesn’t have that damp smell that you can get if you have hired wetsuits or life jackets before. The jump into the lake to start the activity is great. When we attended there was 30 people on the Aqua and this was just right number. We used the after and the food is lovely also what was refreshing is they don’t bleed you dry and over charge for things. Would be to have lockers to put your things but the car boot always does. Look forward to returning in the future. Amazing experience and value. We did the kayaking and paddle boarding. My brother took us through and we used his equipment but there was equipment for hire for prices, too. Very clean and the and events that were going on around us for team building etc looked fun. Would definitely return again! Absolutely fantastic place for teenagers, 1h play in it is enough and just 20£.. perfect 👌 day out the place is very well run. My 15 & 13yr old loved it. has selection of food. Showers and toilets are very clean. walks and Staff very and attentive. Dog they even brought us some prepared dog sausage 😬 Had the total wipe out sandwiches fantastic value and tasty. We did a zip line and axe throwing. Both were well managed and lots of fun. staff and site well laid out with lots of activities. Need to book in advance as I imagine it being very popular when the obstacle courses are open. Booked NYWP for a corporate team building day. The team made it simple to organise and made us feel welcome. The activities, Orienteering, Axe throwing & Zip wire were fantastic and enjoyed by all. We are looking forward to our next visit. value for money. On this visit I did think they were short of supervision on the main obstacle as was a bit hectic in places and no-one in control to deal with it. I did have an accident down the big slide on the yellow floats and the supervisor at the top of the float saw me fall and didn't check I was ok. I did hurt myself and needed an ice pack once I left the and got changed. But I had to find someone to help me. I understand why we sign the waver. But it was an accident as I slipped down the float but would of appreciated if the attendant checked on me. Maybe give it a miss next and leave it for the younger ones. A fabulous day out. venue, food, amazing staff, very clean and very well organised. Completely doggy friendly- with doggy swimming area and doggy ice cream on sale in the where dogs are welcome too. We arrived with 2 boys - 14 &15 year old, the done the zip line and the Warrior Aqua course, they both had a and thoroughly enjoyed their day. We all had lunch in the and found it to be very reasonably priced considering they have a captive audience. Would 100% recommend this place 🫶🏽 Took my grandkids for some fun on the zip line it was amazing Harry &Jack looked after us brilliantly very clear safety checks and instructions 👍 well worth the £12.50 each would definitely recommend Thank you NYWP - Sue, we have to say the best Sunday carvery we have had in a very long time! ⭐ best Yorkshire puds!
