The place was almost empty and the 85 year old guest of honor and majority of his same age friends were seated on a upper floor, stating, that will be more private. Unsure from who, secondly there was no walls. We were cramped up with some of us siting at the entrance of the stairway. The seating arrangement would have made sense if the place was full(er). Food was alright the least. Made by someone with very little interest in culinary. Seasoning had left the building and presentation of the dishes not even a photo worthy. Instead of a strudel, there was just doe with a side of berries. Coffee bitterness burned a whole in the throat. Service...? Before the event, one of our guests had requested for one, special (beautifully melodic) birthday song to be played from the speakers. All seemed to be allowed and promised, yet when it was time to play, the excuse was connection issues with the speakers. Kuddos to them still playing that (from a phone, from the corner of the bar) but perhaps next time inform the guest prior the knowingly failed execution. It's only a song, but they could have cared a tiny bit more. Throughout our stay we did not experience much service. Possibly also cause some of us were sitting on the stair-walkway and each time in encounter, we needed to get up and assist.. Ladies room light is with a delayed movement and has an incredibly uncomfortable step, which made the seniors ask for help. Thankfully clean. The place itself is fine looking with a great terrace and parking area. It can only get better! Vanameistri pub is a truly cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is delicious. I also liked the fast and courteous service. I definitely recommend visiting! The atmosphere was exellent, the food was soo delicious and service was fast. I am very exited to go there again and again. The portions were big. I really liked the soundsystem and the fact that they did music requests. The smoke machines were also cool. I enjoyed the time there very much.
