Tagliatelle which looked beaut .and tasted just as definitely recommend. I am very strict on my chips etc so I had the russ burger .chips where absolutely just perfect. The burger flavour was a bit like Lewis copaldi nice but something was missing..but still very nice .I fact the beat I've had in the last 5 pubs so well done chef .it is a place and apparently famous on tikbook or something lol Really disappointed was birthday celebration.. are starters came out with are dinners food was cold the vegetables cold and gravy the Yorkshire pudding hard and cauliflower cheese top burnt .. we was large table . No mushroom pie left ..so was offered only vegetables with cauliflower cheese which ..so had too ask for the fish really didn’t enjoy food but whole meal was not cold and such shame as we was so looking forward too celebrating birthday here today .we drove home had go get food as we hadn’t eaten most food.. Didn’t even see desert menu but after the starters being sent out with the main meal with cold dinner we all had enough just really disappointed .. was given some discount but think whole meal should been given for free as ruined birthday celebration .. we was so looking forward to eating here today Fantastic place. Warm, welcoming with a selection of well kept ales and lagers. Only had bar food but it was delicious. Will be coming back for a proper meal. So much better under the new owners than the previous ones! Completely different pub. Came here after our hike enjoyed every course. I'm only hoping they offered a pitcher for juice or in pints. Otherwise, everything was great! The BEST Sunday 🤩 My boyfriend and I had the pork belly bites (immense), cauliflower bites (delicious) and the beef and pork duo roast! Everything was fantastic and so tasty! Potatoes were the best I’ve ever had! Service was brilliant and there was a really atmosphere. Even better than social media is making out, they should be incredibly proud of their pub! 🍻 Amazing steak for my birthday. Staff really made an effort and even put a candle in my dessert. Cost (£30-40 pp) includes multiple drinks, sides and desserts for all. Came for a Sunday and it was incredible, whilst we were there saw a leaflet for steak night with a very reasonably priced menu so booked the following Thursday after our Sunday to come again. Yet again amazing, I had the flat iron which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the fillet which was melt in your mouth with flavoursome garlic butter. Needless to say I couldn’t recommend this place anymore, also many thanks to the wonderful staff who are just as as the food, see you Sunday as yes we have booked again! First time visiting yesterday, absolutely blown away! first welcomed in by Charlie who was very polite and friendly another lady who was quick to find my booking and although our table wasn't ready yet was able to have us seated at a new table and have it set up ready for us in seconds! Emily was our waitress and she was extremely friendly, polite and just an all round lady to have serving us, she checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately never had the privilege to be served a drink by Mr May but Charlie was just as good, interaction with customers. Now the food!!! OUTSTANDING hats off to the chef I went home and dreamt of those pork belly bites!! Absolutely phenomenal melt in your mouth perfection. Now onto the roasts we had come down to celebrate Easter and it was beautiful the portion size is spot on! The best I've ever eaten at a pub/restaurant the pigs in blankets were amazing the size of them and your get five for a fiver.. bargain!! Plenty of vegetables and beautiful gravy honestly can't fault a thing!! We made room for pudding of course! And just sensational the ice cream is incredible! From the moment we walked in to the second we left we loved every minute, friendly staff and beautiful food, all other guest there were enjoying there food and sharing laughs over a few drinks it was a place to be especially on Easter Sunday. Should be very proud as I'm sure you are. We can't wait to come back again very soon and thank you for a afternoon. Was very excited to visit, the food was and service friendly! Once again a meal out. Already planning our next visit to the Russell Arms. One wordphenomenal- food,service and atmosphere. We went for steak night. Steak was absolutely with beautiful seasoning. Definitely over ordered on the sides as the chips were generous portions but we were able to take leftovers home. The bread before the dinner with the chili and garlic butter was super tasty. Service was and the staff were really friendly and let me have 3 sorbets as I couldn't choose just two. My husband had the apple and pear crumble which was also delicious. Overall a really restaurant. Will definitely be visiting again. Had an amazing lunch here for my birthday! Staff were amazing & food was delicious, will definitely be back!
