Wonderful and hike. Highly recommend Nice and worth it to hike. Can combine with the Gyrihaugen for a more challenging hike.😎 I don’t recommend taking the short cut, steep path that is marked as dangerous. Not because it’s a challenge, but because it is not a path… it’s loose stones on a slope. Scree. If someone is coming up behind you, they will get injured by the stones that you will loosen with your steps. It leads directly to the gorge, but it’s not that much quicker because it’s scrambling. Just go the long way and don’t injure others behind you. Definitely never try to go down through the gorge. It’s fine at first, but once you hit the slope of free rolling boulders, it’s not you who is in danger, it’s others below you. Yes it’s a pain to have to go back the same way- the long way round, but being community minded is part of Norwegian society. So if you’re in Norway, respect Norway’s society and norms. Kicking stones down onto people’s heads (even unintentionally) is a non-Norsk move. Everyone knows it’s a cool, instagramable photo point at the top. Enjoy- but work for it! No stoopid short cuts! One route is for more experienced hikers, second is a bit easier This is a great day hike! There's a semi hard or an easy way up. Both is possible to do for beginners. It was so much fun, and the is awesome! I visited in December 2023, I took the blue path which was mainly easy to follow however due to the amount of snow some parts were more challenging. The car park is close to the start of the walk although I only realised once I got there I’d need an app to pay for parking so I recommend downloading that before you get there ! Overall the at the top was beautiful. I will be going again! Fantastyczne miejsce, porostu zachwycona jestem. Zalecam być tam w godz. 19-20 Incredible well worth the and climb up. Flott tur For en fantastisk opplevelse jeg hadde her, må regne med 1-2 timers gåtur for en vei. Vil si at det er en middels vanskelighetsgrad. Vil anbefale alle til å ta en tur hit. Great daytrip, about 1 hour drive from Oslo. Lots of beautiful scenery on the way up to the top, including a waterfall. Nice of the Steinsfjord. Also suitable for children over 5 years. Nice moderate with about 450 meter elevation change. Some parts are a little steep but nothing too demanding. is breathtaking! Beautiful place, nice little to reach from parking area. Would recommend to further up to the pond to get a nice day hike. En flott familietur for store og små. Anbefales på det sterkeste å ta denne turen en solskinnsdag med flott utkikk. Brukte 1 time og 10 minutter opp. En bør ikke gå juvet opp på grunn av steinsprang. Å gå opp selve Mørkgonga anbefales ikke, mye løs stein og de siste meteren opp er klyving. Ikke mulig med hund.
