Very chill gym. No judgement. Good sized pool. Lots of fun classes. Great pricing. If you're self conscious about using a communal changing room, you can use a private cubicle in the changing area. Great wee man loves coming here, booked in for lessons for him and there’s a bit of a wait (around 2/3 months) just be aware if expecting to get them straight away. Staff are always helpful just make sure you check the timetable before going as there’s always a lot going on at the Welcoming staff who put themselves out to help. Went with my disabled daughter and they were quick to make the access chair and hoist available. The changing room we used was a bit small so will probably use the bigger room next time. This is a great gym, very family and disabled friendly. The no footwear in the area policy is really good. Their zumba and aqua fit instructors are great. The reason for the 3 star rating is the cleanliness of the floor, otherwise it would definitely be a four star from me. They have a cafe in the gym section, haven't used the cafe so not sure if they do any healthy and low calorie specials. The gym is very good, all the facilities you will need. Spotlessly clean and all the precautions in place. My only criticism is, when open again and the various classes start up, places for the classes go very quickly. You need to be booking on line at midnight the week before the class. Very difficult to book. Other than that, very good facilities! Age active is great and good for seniors for fitness and to get some company but you can never book a space always full both Wednesdays and Fridays. Why not put on more classes if it’s so popular and make sure everyone gets a place once a week before some people are allowed to book for a second session in the same week. It’s a shame when people want to improve their fitness and health that they can’t book a session very unfair. Seniors have so few fitness classes they can attend. Have only use the pool. Good size and water not too cold. The last Saturday of the month is also good time to go with the kids as there is a large inflatable obstacle course down the middle of the pool. The kids love it! Super if your looking for a quiet swim with the kids. Little bit nervous about re joining the fitness world after a year of illness, first point of contact was Anne via email, what a lovely full very informative reply, sent back almost immediately! Anne arranged for me to come in and have a tour/chat with the wonderful Manager Lorna. I was very overwhelmed, every question answered and now cannot wait to re start my fitness journey, with clearly a very great support team available! Thank you ladies, you are a credit to the centre. Some of the gym equipment could do with a refresh but still a better offering than the other options in town.
