So beautiful! Too much stone thought Baltic Sea, I recommend you to go only in a really warm day (if you want to swim), because the wind is so strong there that you need to be strong to go inside of the water, also when is so windy the and the sand has plenty of algae (seaweed). The city is so pretty, I was surprised. (I didn’t expect anything than go to the sea). Some of this will sound negative, but if you are going for the FKK (naked) aspect it’ll be worthwhile! In early 2025 the Rostock locality passed a rule that the FKK section—past entrance 18—is ONLY for FKK use, but it’s not really enforceable or a finable offense to have clothes on. They theoretically can officially ask a clothed person to leave. However, we never saw any sign of a warden doing this. We were there on a late June Sunday from a cruise ship docked for the day. It was great weather, hot and sunny, so the was quite crowded—but not packed. We had no trouble renting a couch/shelter (see pictures) at reduced rate 12 euros since we got it in the afternoon for the rest of the day (until 1800). The kiosk was out of beer when we got there, but had wine, water, and radlers. was pretty cold but was absolutely calm (no surf), we saw one jellyfish floating by, and a strip of the where the sand meets was very rocky. Recommend wearing shoes into the water! There were also some bugs in the couch/shelter, but they didn’t sting or bite—just a nuisance. There are lots of free toilets, but we couldn’t find showers or any place to rinse off feet anywhere. As for the people, about 80% to 90% of those ‘camped out’ in the FKK area (we were near entrance 19) were naked. There were people walking through the area with suits on, but nobody was bothersome or were obvious voyeurs. No one was taking pictures or anything. The average age of the FKK ‘participants’ was probably 45-50; some kids/younger adults, lots of middle age people, a few elderly. All seemed to be Germans, but it’s hard to tell. Gender representation was about 50-50, breaking the “just old dudes” stereotype of naked beaches. The walk to get to the nudist section from the town may be a bit long for you, so recommend walking on the sidewalk all the way to avoid tramping through sand a long time. Look at my picture of the beach, taken from the top of the famous lighthouse; section 18 is barely visible, several blocks farther down than the big hotel building you can see in the picture. A lot of folks take a bike, or even a bus part of the way. But if you’re game for a 15-20 minute stroll, it’ll be fine. Great people-watching. Have fun! Very nice long with FKK 🏖️ That's the place where I use to relaxing 😎 The joy that filled me up upon realizing where I was, I stumbled in to the very best of the best... Super relaxed on the Baltic!! Everybody was relaxed and respectful Nice sandy with a few pebbles to navigate when getting into the water. Mainly fkk . Bit of a trek to get there. Around 800 metres from start of to fkk area. Beautiful Clean I recently visited the and was shocked by the ludicrous cost of renting a volleyball court. It felt like a cash grab. To make matters worse, the staff actively killed the vibe by constantly stopping everyone including a small kid and her dad playing innocently in the corner of the court... It was more frustrating than fun. I won't be returning anytime soon.
