The way up is nice and adapt to amateur mountaineers aswell. Fantastic hike from the village of Songlio. 13km through the woods and with stunning views on the lake and other mountains surrounding. The trek was not that busy with limited people. Great for summer. It took us 4:30 to complete the loop at a good pace. No dangerous section but quite steep sometimes. The view on the whole northern part of the lake Como is great Perfect little hike even for younger kids. We made it with our 3,5years old girl. You can fill up your water bottles at the parking. Thru the wood there are lots of ants but it helps kids to walk faster;-) upway we took the trail in woods,downhill take the road (a bit boring part of a trip). If you stay on the road,easy to reach the chapel with good stroller. To get to the highest point you have to walk another about 200m. Enjoy.
