Sorsasso is only 1 of 3 wineries in the Lake region, and of those 3 wineries, Sorsasso is the only one open to the public for tasting. It is the lifelong dream of the parents, who designed their house, cellars, room, etc. and built the on a steep, rocky terrace. It used to be made just for family/personal consumption, but the dream was to make a business, and so they have! Silvia was delightful and we really enjoyed our lunch pairings (cheese, salume, ravioli). Merlot, sangiovese, verdese, and sauvignon blanc are the grapes used to make their white, rose, red, and bollicine (bubbly!) We spent about 4 hours, tasted their wines, enjoyed the sunshine 🌞 and the views. This was a really special experience. Reservations are recommended; you can text Silvia or email. Arrive by car or bicycle, or hike up from the ferry in Domaso. The best ever! Such a beautiful day! Wow and the owner’s daughter who gave the tour was amazing! I’m sorry I don’t remember her name! Absolutely an amazing experience! Silvia, the host, was knowledgeable, hospitable, and made us feel right at home at her villa that has been in her for 29 years. The red and homemade cheese were just superb. The most stunning venue that you could in Lake Como. This was a bit of a “filler” in our day. My partner loves so I thought it would be a nice thing to do. Let me tell you I was so impressed! From the scenery on the cobbled terrace, to the most amazing with and nibbles and lastly the brilliant hostess! Silvia is so warm and welcoming, nothing is rushed, but you aren’t left waiting around either everything just flows nicely. The is so clean and tidy and even the toilets are well kept. I would 100% recommend a visit. It is a bit tricky to find I would recommend a taxi to the front door We had a great time at this winery. We came unannounced but that was totally fine. We could join a with others. Our Silvia is very passionate about the wines and has good humour. This makes it a very enjoyable and definitely recommended to while you’re near Domaso. Lovely place to taste local wines and appetizers. We also had short tour in the winer cellar, small owned which makes the even more special. Highly recommended! From start to finish, this was an absolute highlight. Our was fantastic — warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about each and the region’s history without ever making it feel rushed or overwhelming. Every pour was a treat, with each offering its own unique character and depth of flavor — truly exceptional and an absolute delight to the palate. The setting itself was nothing short of breathtaking, with sweeping views that made each sip feel even more special. It was the perfect blend of great wines, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding hospitality. Amazing vue on the lake! The course was incredible with a hostess describing each really well and pairing it with some nice cheese / speck ham or other types of food. Very interesting to learn from the vineyard and story behind it all. Loved it! We have been absolutely in LOVE with the dinner and atmosphere! We came at 7PM. Dinner took about 3hours. It was a lot of visitors, so better to Book a table in advance. The owner of the is young woman. They Will serve antipasti with a rose wine, later ravioli and rizzoto with white, after steak with potato with red! It was about 6 glasses of per person. Also dessert with grappa! At the end they even presented a bottle of wine! Owner tells a stories of the and winery! Atmosphere is simply the best! Food was very delicious and we did not expect all this will be so chip! So we left very good tips to cover somehow such hospitality! We had a wonderful at Sosarsso Vineyard. The was excellent—warm, knowledgeable, and made the truly enjoyable. The tour of the vineyard was interesting , offering a great look into the winemaking process and the history of the place. The views across the vines were absolutely beautiful. The and food were fantastic, and even the children enjoyed the cheese and ham. A memorable that we highly recommend! One of our favorite things we did in this area was making a reservation at Azienda Agricola Sorsasso for dinner. Silvia can help with booking a taxi for you to travel back/forth if you are staying outside of Dormaso. She is amazing. We had the most wonderful dinner and experience. We felt right at home. The is situated up on a hilltop, so you have a nice view down to the lake. Dinner starts at 7 and is several courses each paired with a wine. I don’t think we made it back to our AirBnb in Menaggio until after 11pm, so it is a full evening event. Seating is outside so bring a jacket as it can get chilly once the sun goes down, but they provided blankets to us as well. We would 100% come back here again. The dinner and was delicious and overall it was such a special time. It is now one of our favorite memories of our vacation. We spent an amazing afternoon here, it is so much more than just a testing. There is a generous food pairing with each wine, white, red and rose and plenty of water if it is very hot, as it was on our today. The location is fabulous, with panoramic views across the northern end of Lake Como and access via car was easy enough. Sylvia was a fabulous host, explaining about her family’s business and history. She gave very good notes and the tour of the was excellent. Nothing was rushed. The wines themselves were absolutely first rate in an area not noted for production and we bought several bottles to bring home. A really worthwhile trip, great value. Highly recommended. Even you’re not into wine, this would be a great if you’re in the area. A gem among the switchbacks high above the north end of the lake! Best of our trip to Lake Como. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Friday without a reservation (would recommend to ensure there is space), but were welcomed in with warmth and gratitude like we were meant to be there. The view, the outdoor seating, and the late-Spring weather were perfect for our last day in Italy. The - white, rose, and red - astounding!! All 3 were part of the (generously poured) along with locally sourced meats, cheeses, and breads. If I could only drink the white with the potato frittata for the rest of my life I would! Our and the rest of the family, yes it all owned, were so kind, generous and thoughtful to even invite us to stay for the dinner menu and which was more than we could have asked for as unintentional guests. Do yourself a favor and book the full - you will not regret it!
