I would define it as a place for a refined domestic experience with outstanding food and service. The restaurant is small, silent and luminous. The setting is unformal but armonius and peculiar. A wonderful rare cabinet, designed by Kazuhide Takahama for Gavina in 1975, is well blended with the genearl rustic decor. Food is simply excellent. It is a tasty interpratation of the local cuisine. Everything is locally made and the quality of materials is unbeliavably fresh and natural. I recommend to follow the staff recommandations, leave them the drive and just enjoy. As a local, I surely consider this as the best place in town. Nice and relaxing accomodation in a very clean, romantic and traditional organic farm. The dinner was delicious, with all well cooking recipies, and the night was very confortable.for the perfect temperature, not warm even in Summer. For our breakfast, we could appreciate a set of very good cakes and the excellent farm's yogurt Good posizion in the South/Centre of Italy. I would put more stars if I could. Organic farm with around 30 cows fed only with grass from the property and well-cared for. We were able to see them, touch them gently as they were eating, see their veals... They are milked every morning and it is made into fantastic cheese, yogurt, panna cotta... The meal we had was made with love, simple, local products. Tasted amazing. The whole farm is managed by one family and they put their heart into everything. Maria in particular was adorable, so willing to communicate in English with us, and her food... I would come back for it. The room was spacious and clean (no fridge though) and the property is dog-friendly but leashed because of the animals and cats. They deserve everything positive ! We absolutely loved everything! Wonderful and attentive hosts, spotlessly clean rooms, and delicious homemade breakfasts. We’d be happy to come back again! Taverna Centomani is a haven of peace, slow living, and delicious food. We stayed for one night and had dinner there. What we originally booked as a simple stopover between the Amalfi Coast and Puglia turned into one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Dinner was a true culinary experience, a delightful journey into local traditions and flavors. Maria’s cooking was exceptional—every dish was not only delicious but came with a story. She was clearly passionate about sharing her heritage, and her enthusiasm made the meal even more special. The cheeses were outstanding, the meats incredibly flavorful, and as for the panna cotta—let’s just say it’s worth the trip on its own! Our young daughter was so taken with their milk that she would’ve gladly taken a whole truckload with us if she could have! Breakfast the next morning was also excellent, featuring a generous spread of homemade cakes. If we had one small suggestion, it would be to include a few more savory options, as we usually prefer a less sweet start to the day. We also really enjoyed visiting the farm. Such a lovely experience, especially for children. All in all, a wonderful place to stay in Basilicata. Perfect for anyone, but an absolute must for families with young kids.
