Enjoyable up the river to the cave, despite the rain. The driver was witty and friendly and the journey isn't too long. Cruising deep in the Matka on a luxury pontoon cruise is a must-do experience. We opted for the morning around 10 am, and it was the perfect time to enjoy the before the tourists arrived. You are cruising the on your own, and it was very relaxing soaking up the magical views and having the lake to yourself. Matka Tours are located next to the Matka Hotel & Restaurant and the hotel can organise if you are staying with them. The duration of the cruise is only one for the return trip, and very affordable on a luxury pontoon at 500 denar - €8 each (normally 750). You also visit a called Vrelo Cave, it is only a two-minute walk from the water's edge up some stairs, you spend 20 minutes touring the before returning to the boat. The is well lit up for safety and the stairs were easy and suitable for most ages to explore, it is also free to enter. The captain is well versed in five languages (including English) and has a very warm and friendly nature, you will enjoy the chatting away. Another fun activity is to kayak through the canyon, ideally during the morning if you want to avoid the tourists, it is a popular activity and place to visit. Definitely recommend cruising with Almata Prima Kayak Rental And Tours during your visit to Matka to the pristine waters and grand views. 500 denars for a ~1 roundtrip to Vrelo Cave. At first I was kinda intimidated by the price, but I'm glad I still go along with the trip. You will get to enjoy more of Matka travelling along the water, and Vrelo is pretty unique. I felt safe travelling on the boat, staff are friendly too. They deserve every single MDK. The was short and sweet, and cave, though not very impressive, was a much welcome cold diversion to an another very hot day. The Matka is the real attraction here, in my opinion at least, and compared to those highly dangerous looking hiking trails on the side of a cliff, or compared to kayakers who are always under direct sunlight, this is the best way to travel this canyon. 500 MKD is reasonable too, though they should consider longer tours that will allow you to swim in some decent spots as well. Arrived about 10:30am and the first business wasn't running trips until the afternoon. Walked along here and got straight on a trip. About 20 mins to the cave, twenty minutes to explore and twenty back, which was sufficient to see everything. The boats appear well maintained and drivers are skilled and speak reasonable English. We thoroughly enjoyed our and it's well worth the 500MKD per person. Yes you could hike along the for great views, but not to the caves and it was 33 degrees when we visited, so cooler on the water. A must if you are in Skopje. I did both kayakking and the to the Vrelo cave. The was like 500 denar per person, and we paid 300 denar for the kayakking. It's pretty busy in the Matka Canyon, as it's quite popular. The Vrelo was really worth a visit, and the people at the rental were very friendly. Good experience. If you want to go to the toilet, there is one further down the path up the stairs, but it costs money. Lovely in the and a worthwhile from Skopje. I'm only deducting points because their sign states 1 each way but our tour took 53 minutes total including our time in the cave. From reading previous reviews I now believe they are misleading people on purpose as the sign has not been changed to 1 total time. I also didn't like how we were pushed into using the more expensive 600mkd as they needed a minimum of 10 to go. I guess the lack of competition tells. 500 denars for 2 people and 1 include vrelo cave. Staff was friendly. We recommed trip. Rental price for a tandem kayak is 500 MKD/hour. The equipment was a bit worn-out but still in good condition. We wanted to try kayaking to the cave, but half an wasn't enough to get there. You can also take short or long trips along the canyon. Beaufitul views of a river. Price with visit is 8.5€, just boattrip is cheaper. Also you can rent kajak and waterbicycle. Had a great time and thanks! Very good trip, kind people. Much better then the first one, so walk throught. Nice with entrance to very nice cave. Good company! Great experience. We went within 2 hours with the kayak up to the cave. Great views from the water up to the canyon. Price was great. Staff was very nice and easy. You go kayaking and pay later depending for the hours you went. Would recommend this place way over the other one a few meter earlier on the walk there. Especially for tours this place is better, since they actually go to the cave. The boats from the other place all turned a few hundred meters before they reached the We had a great with this company, we took their tour to see the cave, which the first company didn’t show us. The walking from the to the was two minutes, and we were previously deceived its two hours. The people operating the business were very nice, professional and the is totally worth the money! Highly recommended! ❤️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
