Had an exhibition at house at the family with their war records photographs etc it was very interesting. Also they have a new family exhibition with old atari. Nintendo. Early commodore compureesxetc and you can play faces on some machines. Lunch after cafe was very good. Always worth a visit Wonderful destination for families and dog walkers. Lots of woodland walks and activities like the playhouse and playgrounds for young children to engage in. The cafe offers gluten free options such as carrot cake and wheat free Welsh cakes in addition to decent coffee. Loved our visit to this country park. The stunning walled garden lined by espaliered apple trees produces pumpkins, courgettes, colourful chard with gorgeous flowerbeds planted with so many varieties of salvias, scented roses and so much more. The woodland trail features wooden sculptures reflecting Welsh mythology and parking was easy. Plenty of space for walks with well laid paths, café and toilets. We often walk our dog here when visiting the area. It's £4.00 to park for 2 hours, £4.50 upto 4 hours, £6.00 for the day or you can purchase an annual car parking ticket from the station shop which costs £35.00. There's plenty of space to walk and play. Rhododendrons are in bloom at the moment. The quiet walled garden is lovely to see as it changes with the seasons. It's a great place for picnics. Very family friendly with lots of play areas. Great outdoor activities. Worth a visit with the little ones. Defo take wellies if the weather has been bade. That isn't a negative about the place. Let's face it, we all loved jumping in puddles at some point. Great place and free! Loads of space for kids to run around, sculpture trail, lovely park. Be sure to check out the house the inside is much more fantastic than the outside. Nice tea room too with hot and cold drinks, ice lollies and food. What a gem. Hidden away in the Pembrokeshire countryside but still very accessible, this estate-cum-park is more exploration than handing everything on a plate. There are gentle woodland walks with things to find, sculptures trails and interactive musical toys in a woodland clearing. The main house has a cafe on one side with another eatery closer to the car park. You can explore the house itself for a few, although I didn't do that as I had my dogs with me. It's not the biggest or most elaborate place of its kind, but for the cost of parking your car you can have a pleasant few hours in delightful surroundings. Just pay for car parking and bring a picnic. Council run, two really good play areas. Amazing rhododendron den near the big House, lots to see. Bees, walled garden, stationary steam train and signal box. Good places in forested areas for cycling for the little ones. Coffee and ice cream available.
