A old ruin that dates back to the 1300. 40SEK for an adult to enter. You pay via the machine in front of the entrance. You can walk freely around and into the first floor of the tower. Unfortunately there aren't that many info signs. However you can get a audio guide whenever the shop across the street is open. Historic place, special location. Highly recommended. If you're from Germany you've probably seen nicer castles than this ;-) Never the less it's an interesting place - especially because of the and view. On the down-side: it feels like walking around in a construction site. Lots of unfinished construction, things laying around and you can't get to the top of the tower. Oh and parking costs extra (during summer time).... Come on! That feels like rip-off on top of the 40 SEK entry fee. All in all: it's a nice and if you don't expect a fancy castle then you'll like it here. There are no words! Really! Especially if your a bit of a romantic and not from Europe and not used to castles, ruins or otherwise! This place was beautiful, majestic, and well kept. The history nerd in me appreciated the bits of information and illustrations placed here and there telling about the location. The grounds were clean and beautiful. There is a small charge to enter, but I had no problem with it since it's obvious that the charge goes towards upkeep of this lovely location! We spent well over an hour here and enjoyed every moment! 75sek/pp for watching a really worn down ruin with haphazard renovation(modern , out of place concrete, broken wooden stairs etc) that seems to have been abandoned . Oh bouncy castle for the kids? Included. Watch it from the carpark or afar, you didn't miss much. A really place with an old garden including a lot of apple trees. Perfect to watch the wonderful sunset. Small but nice ruin. Not too expensive. You can read info in English on the website but unfortunately there is no translated text on the grounds itself. Very historic location. Learn about medieval Sweden. Really worth visiting! Interesting audio tour that tells you stories about the castle, loved the tour. Really surroundings with apple and pear trees, roses, berries, lovely views. What a experience! You can have picnic in the garden of the castle.
