Monteviot Gardens

Jedburgh, United Kingdom Garden

One of the Best Places To Visits in Ancrum Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. An enchanting, illuminated woodland walk. It has a very well-designed layout with a themed surprise around each corner. Perfect for all ages creating a Christmas treat. A fabulous set in beautiful grounds in the Scottish Borders. My recommendation is not to follow the signs but to let your legs do the direction choosing. Highly recommended the Winter (shame we canny see it in Winter) and the Water (which are beautiful). The Arboretum is also worth a wonder around. Facilities a little basic and at the time of writing, entry is £6 per person (cards only) Eine wunderschöne Gartenanlage mit verschiedenen Gärten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. We had a wonderful visit to the Monteviot Lights show which was taking place between 30th Nov and the 10th Dec 2023. We had visited the courtyard cafe a playground a few times over the years, but this was our first seeing the garden. As this was an evening visit, we didn't get to see the in it's natural state. It was however a magical and enchanting experience seeing it beautifully lit and with music playing as you walked around. Well worth a visit if you're visiting the Scottish Borders or looking for an evening activity in Dec 2023. There were toilets at the beginning and also half way through the walk by the food stalls. The route is pretty accessible, we have a small pram and that worked well. Free parking and easy to find just off the A68 near Jedburgh. Stunning time before Christmas with the festive light walk. They had it set out so beautifully. Staff, we're just the nicest people. We loved every minute of it. It's a truly unique place with so much to see and explore if you enjoy nice gardens. Fantastic views and clearly guided trails, you can easily spend an afternoon. Beautiful autumn and views to the lake. Many mature trees What an amazing night with the family at Monteviot Lights. All these events are quite pricey, but this one is well worth it. I may have had more fun than the kids did. Loads of different stuff to see, so much fun for all!! Don't want to put too many photos up and ruin it. Recommend 10/10 🌟 Don't miss out on this garden. Beautiful well laid out with a thought out route for visitors. Even in mid October there is so much to enjoy especially as the leaves turn. Amazing garden! The adverts don't do it justice at all. Each of the different gardens has a unique feel to it. Each space has its own smell. There is more to feel and experience than to take photos of. Stunning place, so much to see. Amazing place, so incredibly beautiful and hardly anyone there. Fantastic views, very helpful and informative staff. Only £6 per person. What a find. Monteviot Gardens flies under the radar on the tourist trail, but it is well worth a visit. Even at the beginning of October the gardens were beautiful. Glorious colours and textures, a variety of diffrent gardens and walks with lovely views of the river. A credit to the team. Amazing themed areas of garden, spent 2 hours wandering round, admiring the gardens and views. Real value for the small entry fee.
