Dog and baby in the bar. There's loads of space inside and when we visited in winter a lovely cosy wood burner. There's also quite a nice walk to Fala just down the little lane. Stopped off for lunch and found a charming spot with a very and attentive host. Really nice fish butty & chips and a nice varied menu. Dog friendly. We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch today as a family of four, with our dog in tow and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The space is immaculate, with a warm, modern, and relaxing decor that immediately puts you at ease. The staff were excellent; genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming to both us and our four legged family member. We all chose different starters and mains, and every single dish was absolutely faultless. Each plate was a testament to the chef’s talent, flavours balanced beautifully, textures just right, and meat cooked to absolute perfection. It’s rare to say this, but we honestly couldn’t find a single thing to criticise, even if we tried. A special word for the chef: thank you. You’ve reminded me just how amazing and pleasurable food can be. I’d been feeling completely uninspired by food lately, but this meal reignited that spark. My sister & I had an excellent Christmas Day dinner & stayover, all looked very festive, good atmosphere, enjoyed after meal drinks by the log burner with a nice complimentary Port nightcap.
