I've spent there 3 days intent with two friends on a trip around France. It's a real gem, very nice and not very crowded even in the hot summer. A nice town on the coast with a fantastic sandy beach. Impressed by the work being done to preserve the sand dunes. Life guards look out for swimmers too. This is a superb beach, during cold weather the is usually quiet especially during the COVID but I really enjoyed it. Being able to walk around and see the incredible landscape was a sight to behold. I also went this summer and with the COVID restrictions calming down there was a ton of people, the was enjoyable none the less. I tried going fishing 20-40 meters deep in the sea which made the water waste deep, didn't catch any fish in the end but had a great time there with my fiancé and her family. Going to Fort-Mahon is always. A pleasure. Nice beach. Quite big waves. Tide is quite strong. Depth fluctuates and varies unexpectedly in places. Watch your kids and swim in life guard area. Love this place! Fantastic beach, loads of parking for a few euros per day. is cleaned regularly and large man made sand dunnes keep the kids happy for hours. Wonderful day out with the kids, many places for ice cream and other lovely treats. Go for the scoop type ice cream as the soft ones always seem a bit watery to me. Great all season place to go. The is incredible. There was plenty of "char à voile" when i went (did not take a picture of them but the sunset was beautiful) A lovely quiet seaside resort no arcades just lovely beaches, views and walking. Very windy day when we were there! Great ( altho the water is still a bit freezing imo ) . Boulevard is wonderful. Most restaurants will open for dinner after 18.30 . But lots of ice cream and crepes to be had . I'll definitely return.
