Our Lodge had amazing views. ceilings need wee touch up as damp was coming through. But loved the lodge, very cosy, and comfortable. We stayed for brekky, which was amazing value. We will definitely be back The best venue to get married at ❤️ my husband and I had the best day 😊 Bridie, Natasha and the team were all fantastic in helping us plan our special day. It was that ourselves and our guests could all stay at the venue and make a weekend out of it. Having our ceremony by the lough was beautiful and Castle Caldwell is just down the road for more photographs. The food was excellent and the function room has an amazing view. I definitely recommend getting married at Dulrush Lodge 👰🏽🤵🏽 We have just returned home after spending 3 day's celebrating my daughters wedding. We couldn't fault it. Friendly staff and Bridie and her husband were very accommodating. The room and food were outstanding and the views were picturesque. It was a shame about the weather and we would love to come back in the summer. Overall 5* Me, my partner and my dog stayed for three nights in the self catering lodge. We had such a time. The restaurant food was delicious, (so good that I got the chicken two nights in a row because I loved it so much). Breakfast was also very tasty! The lodges had everything we needed, and the staff made sure to insist to ring them if we needed anything. We hired the boat for a day and it was craic. We also had an evening in the hot tub and sauna - so relaxed and value for money. We are definitely going to be back and have recommended to friends already. Massive thanks to Bridie and James - and Bea and the cook! Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing, and we actually ended up leaving early. The pictures are quite misleading. There was no clear signage for reception, and when we finally found it, no one was there to check us in, so we had to wait around. First impressions weren’t great, the reception area was full of Halloween decorations which were a bit overwhelming, there was fake cobwebs along with real cobwebs and even a few spiders, which didn’t give off the most welcoming feel. Our room was cold, and the heating didn’t seem to work, which made for an uncomfortable night. There was a few bugs in the bedroom, stains on the floor and when I pulled back the sheets on the bed there was long hairs on the mattress which doesn’t give me the reassurance that the room has been cleaned thoroughly enough. The musty smell in both the bedroom and dining area was unpleasant. Overall, it needs some TLC. There was a construction site outside, which spoiled the atmosphere and view. I feel things like this should be made known to guests before hand as it’s not an ideal situation for a relaxing getaway. We had dinner on the Friday night which was okay, but very overpriced. We were the only people there at the time until some fishermen arrived at the bar for some drinks. The spa area was very exposed and lacking in privacy, as other guests could easily see in when coming and going and for this reason we didn’t end up using the spa. Broken glass on the ground from a light/ lantern that had been broken. Ideally shouldn’t have been laying there and should have been cleaned immediately for safety reasons. Breakfast service was slow we waited over 10 minutes to be served, and another guest nearby waited even longer, around 20 minutes, before being attended to. The scrambled eggs came on top of the toast which wasn’t ideal as the bread ended up soggy and wet. Would have been better to be served on the side. Otherwise it was nice. Overall, the place seems to have potential but is poorly maintained. The stay was very overpriced for what it was and what we personally experienced. A bit more attention to cleanliness, guest comfort, and customer service could make a huge difference. Sadly, we left our stay early and wouldn’t choose to stay again anytime soon. place to stay offering various accommodation options including independent self-catering lodges. Even with the self-catering you still have the option of having breakfast or dinner in the main building. The food is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Located in a very scenic part of the country you will need access to a car but its only 7mins drive from Belleek and a short drive to Bundoran. Pets are allowed which is another advantage of staying at Dulrush Lodge. Overall highly recommend staying here as its suitable for all ages. location, food, facilities and staff.
