Beautiful display. The Natural history part was Ok. The standout is the Sicilian Carts - but there are gems throughout. There is an experiential night diorama (Italian soundtrack but still cool). Inventive concept - and the display of amphorae was unique among many museums I've visited (mostly in Italian). If you're here for more than a day its highly recommended. However the natural history display could be much better lit & many cases are empty - if it wasnt for the high quality of the cart exhibition this would have gotten a 3. Good museum, Not much people there, historical and local folklore. 6€ A really splendid regional in Terrasini, Sicily that has multiply subjects - sections on the regional geology and lots of fossils, some archeology, a wonderful naturalist exhibit of regional species, and the very special exhibit of Sicilian painted and sculpted horsecarts. We had the to ourselves and you are missing out of you don't come here. A lot here for 6 euro. A very pleasant surprise. Fascinating covering a number of locally relevant subjects, the highlight of which is about the history of Sicilian carts. The has a mix of everything. They don't accept card to pay admission. And there aren't many English panels. Great place! A lot of interesting items from history of Sicily! Only issue is there it might be difficult for people who speaks English but it's still worth to check! The place was empty of other guests, maybe because it was not so easy to find with some roads closed for building sites currently, but once you find it, it doesn’t disappoint. Some archeological pieces, displays of the animals and fish that inhabit Sicily and of course, beautifully painted carts. The staff were friendly and led us around, sharing stories about the various exhibits. It doesn’t take very long to see everything so it’s great to fill some extra time, or get a quick culture fix between beaches and restaurants 👍 Very cool museum. Lots to see and very well presented. There are some English placards throughout to explain the exhibits. The Sicilian carts were amazing. It was 6 euros for adults and free for our child. Well worth it.
