Mega inflatable aqua play structure was awesome (although we came away with a few bumps and grazes from sliding on velcro and being toppled into by overexcited teenagers). Could do with one or two more lifeguards and rules stopping people from doing dangerous moves on there. Beach is great, but toilet disgusting. More shade on the beach would be ideal also. It's a ten minute walk (on the flat) from car park to beach. Relaxing place to walk and pause in sunny weather. Pity the cafeteria is only open during the summer, if you want to eat or drink bring your own. Fun place to spend the day with family and friends, children love the activities available such as the water slide ( at extra cost to the entrance fee) little ones can have fun paddling in the shallows and playing in the sand. Plenty of shade from the trees and snacks available. Often overcrowded during the summer holidays, lots of people smoke on the beach even though it’s prohibited. Great for kids. The playground is nice and shaded. The activities on the lake are diverse and well managed. Only downside is proximity to road noise. Public facilities and restaurant very limited. The best is to take a picnic. Busy playground for small kids. Pleasant, gardens well looked after but no refreshments or decent toilets.
