Attractive shingle in a sheltered location between the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap and Thorncombe Beacon. The bay is overlooked by the Anchor Inn, and a mobile pizza oven and sauna operate on the beach, so there are plenty of options for food and drinks. A small village shop just along the road is good for supplies and souvenirs. There's right by the (charges apply), and well maintained footpaths heading along the coast in both directions, providing opportunities for some stunning walks. The is popular with families, and the Inn makes a good rest stop if you're following the South Coast Path. By the Anchor pub. 4gbp 1 he, 8gpb all day but 2gbp off daily rate if you buy food Bit pebbles, but views to die for. Difficult access but worth it. Get an early breakfast at a van, or later lunch at a very nice pub. Great sea views. And especially enhanced by Reggie the dolphin giving an aquatic display about 300 mtrs out in the bay pretty much straight in front of us. This has to be my number one in the world, I've spent many days and nights here..especially nights and it throws up some great fish. It diversifies so much throughout the year even over night it can change so much. One day it can be entirely shingle and then after a big tide can turn entirely to clay and mud its very surreal. Much can be done here from fossil hunting to angling or just merely enjoying the scenery, crystal clear waters or on stormy days some very impressive waves can be witnessed with ample and reasonably priced you can't go wrong here! Great little beach, limited on busy days so recommend getting there early, £8 for all day in the summer, reduces when visiting in the winter. Toilets Cold Drinks available to buy aswell as pizza/tea/cake sold in the summer months on the beach. Also a pub (some of its own) and sauna. Our recent visit, lots of jellyfish because of all the hot weather we've been having. Fantastic pebble beach, at its best when the winds howling and waves crashing into the beach. In better weather you can walk a few hundred yards to the east & west. The eastern direction is blocked by a rockfall in the past few years and the western edge is halted by the cliffs. Walked up to the Golden Cap. Beautiful views. Works your heart and lungs but definitely worth the hike. You can walk to West Bay. A hidden gem. Cliff top parking. Local shop near by. Single lane roads leading to the car park. Local walks, finish the summit. Not easy access for wheelchairs or hard of walking. Stoney Beach. Seems like a favorite spotto the locals, away from the flocks of tourists. Lovely and great pu Lots of stone & quilter than expected in August. It said no dogs in summer months but when we arrived there were dogs everywhere & no signs. We took our dog down for 5 days & nobody said a word😄 We absolutely loved this beach, pebble so no sand to wash off the kids. Lovely pub and pizza shack on the too complimented by london priced beer. Lovely we would highly recommend Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
